It will be a big miracle Thorney to sell their Insignia. And Wood doesn't have the money to buy NGTC car.

Thorney have 2 Insignias, one which they havn't even built. There's no reason they couldn't sell that and still continue to run in the championship. It might even give them the money to run a full program next year with upgrades.

Interesting about Lea Wood - the only other NGTC car around that we know of other than the Insignias is Wrathall's 2011 Toyota (presuming Adam Morgan's car is a new build?).

WSR have 2 of their BMWs for sale in Autosport today along with a spare shell, so hopefully that is a sign that their plans are progressing.

Wrathalls car isn't new, it's just had a face lift from last year.

Are you not going to complement them on being that fast round a lap while not being quick?

I think perhaps after their abysmall Knockhill they may gotten more boost

But of course all it takes one of those Hondas to outbrake into Plato in the first hairpin and its all over for Plato..

Decent job by Collard - the S2000 cars were always going to really struggle at Rockingham, a few tenths and he would have been top 5 so not too bad considering the disadvantage they have this weekend - Silverstone should switch back round again.

They won't be able to catch Palto, Neil, Jordan and Shedden but the BMWs should be able to move up a bit during the races as even last year when they were badly underpowered they had an ok weekend.

I wouldn't be so sure, the only reason we saw S2000 do so well at Thruxton in the wet was there was alot of standing water. Any time it's wet without that the larger tires of the NGTC cars will help. Still depends on the conditions.

Remember Rockingham 2008? there was more standing water than not when it rained in 2008

Not sure on your point, we're comparing S2000 with NGTC during the wet. 2008 is before NGTC?

They're not fast through the speed traps, they're fast round the lap as the car built by 888 is great and Plato is a quick driver.

They? There is no they, boost is done by an equation. Results = boost. If Plato gets 2 wins and a good result in race 3, there will be boost reduction. But baring in mind that MG can only go down by 0.1 bar, as they are already nearly at the bottom.

but I thought this year the boost is caluclated based on LAP TIMES !! which means MG should get the boost reduction

No, boost is based on results, and MG have had far too many DNFs this year. Or at least DNF with Plato and Neate no where near the front.

All the teams agreed to the rules when they signed up - so nothing about it is fixed.

It was always going to happen considering the MG boost values for this weekend were going to be based on Neate at Knockhill due to the weekend Plato had and Snetterton where things were relatively close.

Plato needs to be strong here as Silverstone should be S2000 land but going by the laptimes from Race 1 the MG will be slowed down for Silverstone, it's Jackson if anyone that has more engine boost than he should have because teh NGTC Ford hasn't shown it's full potential yet and presumably he inhertied the boost levels that he had with the S2000 Ford.

Plato was always struggling for speed at Knockhill though, it was only wet quali that put him at the front. His dry pace was terrible. So it may not have been too different. They're still on low boost though and never got an increase for Rockingham.

I had forgotten about Knockhill qualifying

To be fair also, 888 have done some serious work on that car, it was always going to come back to them as the year went on as they finished the cars so late so were playing catch up.

Neal again behind Plato wonder what will happen

well maybe the boost on the MG will go back a bit but if the system takes reference from BOTH drivers then its DEEPLY FLAWED since Neate is complelty useless and because of that Plato gets more boost then he should have
