Race07 vs GTR2

Hi Guys,

I lost track of playing Race 07 for so long. Need to clear some doubts!

1) Race07 don't have AI driving?
2) What's Rcade extreme in Race07 race type. When I select this mod it allows to select car from only 4 manufacturer! What't the difference between this gameplay type and Weekend racing?

RCade Extreme mode uses the Extreme WTCC cars for some quick action.
And of course there is AI, when you select "Race Weekend" I think it's called, you can select your track and car, then how many AI you want to have in that race along with laps, driving aids, weather and what kind of rules to have (forced pit stop, etc).

1) Yes. AI can be in Race Weekend, Champion Season, Practice (Private session: off), or added to a dedicated server (I detest DS's with them).

2) I have no idea what "Rcade Extreme" is, LOL. The title precluded me from even a passing interest.

Thanks buddy. I was thinking why it's shows only 4 type of Cars. So like you said it must have been from WTCC extreme class.

Yeah, I was thinking too whether it's some "Arcade" mode!!

But later tried same car in this mode and weekend mode and found it's similar driving feel...

Sorry I didn't specifiy clearly by AI driving. I normally play offline so It's most of the time with AI

What I meant was in GTR2 middle of the practice or qualify you can switch on "AI drive on". That means AI automatically drive your car for you. I use this sometimes to have a drink or anything

Do we have that in Race07? I couldn't see it anywhere...

But one thing I like in Race07 which GTR2 don't have. When you monitor other racers you can't have a back camera (It will be like you are following that car) in GTR2 like in Race07. It's useful to learn there apex and race lines. GTR2 have TV cam + some mode like Bonnet etc....

I was wondering the same thing also. Because when I mod or paint a skin in Race 07, I would like to be able to hit 'autodrive' and rotate the camera view while the car is driving on the track to check my work out just like I do in GTR2 and rFactor.

Oh well, you cannot 'win em' all' I guess...

I don't have your usecase but I was using it too plenty of time. Now I'm gonna miss it in Race07. BTW I'll look for your skins. Thanks for your response and your work...

Any chance I can find the similar Rainbow skin BMW used it in LeMans 2010?

Aww...man. That's too much work to drive around the track for 10-15 min. just to watch the 'replay'...

That's why I use the 'AI' in GTR2 and rFactor. They never seem to get tired or bored...

), just use the pause function ... offline time may be suspended ... I don't think AI will find something wrong with it

I think it's P key on keyboard and you may even choose a button on your wheel.

Ha ha ha. It's not only drink or smoke. Sometime in long races I take rest using this

Again in new tracks I watch 2/3 AI driving to check the turns...

Anyway thanks for suggesting me about the "PAUSE" function....

. Glad my profession didn't end up being a driver or racer

In real life there's no AI ... but HI ... well sometimes not for all drivers with more artificial brains than human intelligence
