I won't post any pictures...you'll only see a computer screen, a pentium 4 and keyboard and mouse
![]() but i've been into seems (mostly simbin) GTR2 and GTL for about 2 years ou a bit more now and with that much experience, the keyboard really starts to feel like an imaginary steering wheel

![]() Soon I'll be cutting the metal bar over the pedals, and also the middle one supporting the desk. Only far enough back so I can mount my wheel though. atm I drive off centred!

Nice work guys. That seat looks cool C3PO. Nice rig Siggs.
I got rid of the Fanatec plasti shift umm I mean Clubsport shift and put on the Frex 2012 Hshift+. 8 positions & 4 buttons. It changes like a real gearbox and sounds real enough too. I have also added a bar under the mons that hold FL & FR speakers, it is also going to be the lower mount for an ally tank with some ports in it to hide the 8 plug power board and a lot of the cables in side some semi flexible ally ducting. The tank will be behind the center monitor. Still a lot of work to be done and its still hard to work when driving is so much fun. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Cockpit 95% finished -- just need to paint this wooden frame support for the Corbeau black and raise the height of the pedals a little.

Are you going to fix the pedals to the seat? Just raising them may still let them slide.

Yes, it's not too bad really but they do need a more secure fitting.

Well guys been awhile since i last posted.
Recently sold my old 2DOF Motion Sim that used boat winchs for movement, Now with the new exciting software at www.x-sim.de we can bring it to life even more, this is a free software program that works with all our favorite racing games. New dashboard pcbs, all designed and but by myself http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfmoG...2&feature=plcp New motors alot stronger and look more professional than my old winchs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjNS7...1&feature=plcp The old sim I sold for 900 just covered parts. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syhtz...xhyrJWYMERXWNg Not to mean to advertise but check us all out at X-sim but this is a free site. We can guide you on the way to build a motion sim for under a 1000 not 10k or more than what the commercial guys want for theres http://www.x-sim.de/forum/portal.php |

Having my steering wheel that low compared to the on-board view would drive me mad.
That said, your room and rig looks fantastic - I am heartily jealous. |

Here's my "cockpit", its a small room so I have the pc and speakers on the table, but Im going to change that. I love my speakers though, theyre very old and have no value but have better sound than many flashy new sound systems!
![]() ![]() Until I took a photo I didnt notice how dirty the wheel is lol |

i recently moved into my new house
and wanted to have the 3rd bedroom as a games room so i set out to make as much as my set up as possible i am a welder/fabricator by trade so im quite handy at building stuff we aslso have laser cutting machines, press brakes and a powdercoating plant at my work so getting to use those was very helpful. firstly i wanted t table that span the complete width of my room so i measured up and built the framework out of 30x30 brushed stainless box section, i ordered the hardwood work top off ebay and cut it down to size and sanded and varnished it. i also wanted to make a stand for my triple monitor set up, i made this out of brushed stainless 2mm sheet and got the lettering cut out on the laser. i also debezeled my monitors to have less bezel space next was the speaker stands that i made and had them powder coated to match my speaker set up and finaly i wanted to make a stand for my t500rs so i could use it and put it out of the way when i wasnt using it. i also had my pc case powdercoated white in soime areas as it was just plain black. so here is the result. A couple more, better pics. No idea how to make them full page though.
Thats a 40" LCD centre and a 32" LCD either side. I dont think i could go back to single screen gaming. |

I thought it was steam from the jeans drying over the radiator in pic1, lol. Nice set-up, makes me feel quite inadequate! |
