Tried out the latest version today. Great work, and the physics improvements look great, but some events don't work. They either crash the game while loading or load forever.
And even though your physics modifications are very driveable, I also tried the newest UCP compatible PTMu version, and with it the cars handle somewhat better, the handling is snappier and more responsive. I'd love if the Career mod ever becomes compatible with PTMu. |

Yes, from the D-class FWD cars to more powerful RWDs. However, I should spend a little more time with your mod and try it on some more cars, especially C and B category. I was particularly interested how the Lotus Exige behaves here because it was probably the worst car to drive with older versions of PTMu, but that C invitational where you can drive it is one of those that can't load
![]() The new PTMu feels like having a bit more friction, although it will get you more oversteer on RWD cars if you give it too much throttle while exiting the turns, but it is amazingly controllable. I feel like I could easily swing it sideways and control the drift, something that was very difficult with older PTMu's, but when I think of it, this mod is not so far off. And besides, if I have to choose between them, I'll definetly go for the Career mod. |

Well yeah i figured that much. Try driving a full upgraded shelby cobra with a swapped engine with ptmu and tell me if its drivable.
The invitational event with the exige is currently unplayable - true but you can buy the car in the car lot after you do adjust your front anti roll down to 3(car is more "turn friendly" that way), it's perfectly drivable as it is + it's my favorite car to drive in class c now that you can actually "drive" it Last edited by tulib202; 20 October 12 at 22:40. |

One more busted speedo:
-SLR Stirling Moss. Even scale of 30 reading to 390 kph but poor angle defintion by SMS. (Unfortunately not the same as the 722's 360 kph speedo which works perfect.) |

I really like the better NA upgrades for my V10s. No need for pesky turbos!
Minor car lot UI bugs: 1) RX8's engine says rotary 3 instead of 2. 2) 914/6's engine is blank and only says 'mid'. |

I thought of a new feature but i couldn't get it to work yet, maybe you know how to do it: Change the quick race money per level so that you earn as much as you would in a normal career race with the highest level of events you can play at that moment

Hello tulib, I was trying to fix the issue with the retro d events (infinite loading screen) and then I noticed the following:
There's an enty for vehicles\BMW_M3_E30\@BMW_M3_E30_cd.crd in the vehicle list but it doesn't have matching .crd file available in M3 E30 folder. I don't know if this is the issue but i thought i should let you know |

I want to know as well. I'm basically waiting for the new version simply because the current one doesn't really work, most of the events don't load. If that could be fixed, that would be great.
Btw, I tried adding that Mazda at the end of vechiclelist, maybe did the trick for an event or two, but most of the career isn't actually playable. |

Hi guys I'm really sorry for the lack of any update on the unworking events but it seems that after i finished and released the physics part i found myself kind of burned out from shift 2 modding so i stopped working on it. I promise I'll release a version with working events around christmas.

Hey guys. I need your helpToday I installed Shift 2+ latest UCP + what i believe the latest Career mod. I wanted to try the career mod for the first time.But everytime i start a race in career mod itself the game wont load.It just keeps loading and nothing happens , game doesn't freeze , it just keeps loading.
Any ideas? I'd really love to test the mod ![]() thanks

Yes, the latest version has that bug and unfortunately you won't be able to play the majority of the events in the game, you can only try out the physics modifications and the AI on quick races and wait for tulib to release the next version of the mod

Remove 'campaign' and 'eventinfo' from the mod folder before activating with JSGME and you'll (more or less) have the vanilla S2U career.
Some vanilla events will not be available like the drag and legends pack ones. But I feel the revised physics and car specs more than make up for it. And quick race still works. Levelling is a bit slow but one can modify 'S2Ufolder'\properties\reputation_levels.xml with notepad. Don't know about gamepads, but keyboard and wheel control feels alright, just set the latter to 720 degrees max or one will have to turn the wheel like a boat captain. |

Well the update will be posted today and it will also fix the handling problems some people reported about the cars. Problems like "damn i cant seem to turn with the gtr35" or "i can't seem to get the gtr35's fat ass around the corners".
Generally there's a new feel about the handling so feedback will be welcome |

yep i've seen that feature. its cool
with some fine adjustments i managed to be as fast as the ai or faster. really cool do race some enemys who can actually beat you
