Hello, this is what you need -> http://www.gtlw.co.uk/
That is the official site of the Power & Glory mod, read that website carefully and you will find all the information and download links you need. The current version of the mod is 2.1 but the final 3.0 version will be released soon.

So, how long will we have to wait for the mod? He should have been published yet.

Hope it will not take really long.

Not a dumb question, just a distracted one.

Here we go again...

Simbin announced "rules" for conversion of their work some time after the original P&G mod came out.
The "rule" for conversion of an older Simbin title content to a newer Simbin title (ex., from GTL to GTR2) was that no CD-check was required.
Therefore, and since P&G fits this "rule", we will not use a CD-Check for the upcoming P&G v3.

If still in doubt regarding NoGrip rules, please refer to the currently available rules regarding conversions.
To reinforce that, and make them aware, I've personally contacted the NG staff (about a year ago now, I think?) regarding the matter. They've replied stating that they have absolutely no problem with it, and wished good luck.
Our mod-team also still has a working forum for P&G in here as you see, where plenty team members have moderator roles in this specific section. There's even a downloads section for P&G here in NG (thanks to the NG admins!).
My question to you now is, after 5 years of P&G, why would we put to risk all that as well?

For the P&G Mod 3.0 templates also are planned?

Would be great if you could then paint to new cars.

Guys, we appreciate the questions (keep them coming) but we also appreciate if you look at other threads first before asking - same questions/answers might have been made already.

Regarding the templates, unfortunately nothing has changed since we posted this:

This has been asked many times, and there hasn't been a response yet as we were hoping for a (re)solution for missing templates.

...let's see if I make sense here regarding the current situation of templates, even if this is not my area...

First of all, P&G was never made with 3rd parties mods in mind, so propper skin templates, for the users, perhaps gone as 2nd thought (moot point now).
Many cars that were worked on from a GTL 3D/2D base needed a fix, or at least a modification, on respective GTL template. From what I understand, in some cases it was extensive, in others not so much.

Second -and the real issue here- there has been a lot of problems with the GTLW crew - the reason why the mod development gone so problematic for the last couple of years. Some of the active guys got real life big problems and became intermittently involved, untill they have quit. Others simply have misteriously disappeared all of a sudden without any reason.
What this means is that there are plenty cars (some 60's, mostly 70's) that needed 'custom' templates but those have now gone "trapped" inside the computer's HDD of such members, that are unreachable atm.

The only real exception for such cars (that I know of) is the Lotus Seven S1, for which its creator, 'Nig', has supplied templates, to be included in P&G v3.

I will be offering all the wire mash layers and shade layers needed for the creation of the templates if there should be any interest, to anyone that wants to make a template or templates.

I am quite certain we will see lots of cars - skins and mods - being merged to P&G v3.0 in the next say 12 months after release. But shouldn´t we take some time for treasure hunting at first...

I know this thread is dedicated to3.0 but I have been working on 2.1 adding new cars and doing physics for them-----I decided to try out the Austin Healey 3000 Mark I and low and behold it has a 6 speed box----this is an easy fix----just go into the AH3000R.grb and delete the fifth and sixth gear notations.

I'm kind of suprised nobody that I know of has noticed this before---actually if this prompts someone to drive the Mark I----so much the better.

Anticipating 3.0 but really 2.1 is focused more on my favorite era of racing

I hope you don't mind a suggestion as it occurred to me as I wrote the last sentence---at some point perhaps-----you might release the revised physics for the cars NOT included in version 3.0 so that people could update 2.1 with Aristotles new physics for the older cars.

I'd hate to see any of that work wasted.

DRAGON

edit; Actually----that IS something I could do for the team if your interested.

I think all the cars included in 2.1 are included in 3.0. Its not an add-on to v2.1 - it replaces it.

The six speed gearbox is a result of the overdrive which was fitted to rally cars and some road racing cars. I think in V3.0 there is only one car with the overdrive.

Yes as David said, the sixth gear is there to simulate the overdrive. I think we've included the story in the showroom tech details to explain why.
So no, it's not an error and you shouldn't "fix" this sorry.

Also again as David said, v3 has all the cars of V2.1 with updated physics and 3D and sounds and everything.

cheers though for having fun with the Healey.

From memory one of the Healey 3000s is an ex-works Rally car, and has the 6-speed (overdrive) that was fitted on those. All the others are 4-speed. It's not an error.
