GTR 2 Original copy

Hi Guys,

Anyone knows where can I find a GTR2 original copy? My friend from SriLanka he want to play this game online. But he don't have legit copy

I saw lot of posts like GTR2 was available like 3$, 1Euro etc for certain dates couldn't find anywhere now. I searched amazon and its almost 30$ now and they are DVD. With shipping cost it will be more expensive for him. He is looking for a cheaper one....

Anyone have a spare copy they can sell it? As long as you provide the legimate key that will be enough since he already have a downloaded version. (Sorry it's not a legimate version that's why I'm trying to help him....)

BTW,

if anybody wan't to sell their used copy I can buy that for him as well. I believe using that key my friend can logged into online lobby?

Yes if the key isn't used anymore (or logged into) you can get online racing. Sorry still play mine so can't sell it to you..

Thanks for the confirmation man. It's okay lot of people including me play GTR2 so we will never sell it

Sure, I'll try this. Another friend PMed me as well. May I know whether this is equal to owning a legal copy of GTR2? IS there any difference between online key and Simbin provided registration key?

Hi, I tested the site it's issuing a online serial number. But I really want is a original registration key. My friend want to make it a legal copy first... Is that possible?

You are not going to find GTR² anywhere. That computerbild site provides legit keys, I have 6 of them, they work.

Thanks for the information. No choice I'll ask my friend to use this site then. I prefer to make it a legal version anyway for now he can use it I hope...

Just wondering since we can get a online key for free anybody can run GTR2 without buying right?

Even I'm using the NOCD exe so I know it's possible to play Single player all modes without any problem. (But mine original copy I'm using it for my convenience)

Now if we can use online also there is no way to find original versions right??

Confusing as it is, it seems it is like so.

Notice that it is close to impossible to find GTR2 these days on regular game stores (out of production, pretty much on the verge of abandonware) and at least untill SimBin creates a "digital download" version like they did for GT-Legends, people will be really restricted to the very rare physical left over copies, or used ones, and mostly only available through online purchase. ...if we add to that those blessed free online-keys, it does open a precedent for piracy, unfortunately (or not, depending where you sit).

Yeah you are correct. It's really difficult to find a GTR2 version because I tried to buy one for my friend. Couldn't find a better deal. I wish SimBin will release a steam version. They did for GTR recently...

May be It was wrong but when I was in SriLanka there is no way I could buy a game legally. In there buying a DVD for around 2$ is the legal thing. But you can't blame because that's the only option available there... After moving to Singapore I bought each and every game I loved to play

So like you said it's depends on where you are

My doubt is I found some online copies at ebay. One of the guy told me he have a brand new copy without box but with a online key and he is ready to sell it to me. (For my friend) But how do I know they are really original? Anyone can create a DVD with online key like from this site right? I'm confused how to check it is original?

Without the box, I'm afraid you can't... The box has a little number on the back that matches the number on back center of the DVD (hard to see but it'll be there). Something that, I believe, it can't be replicated.

Thanks for the info. Yeah I can see such numbers in mine. May be I should only buy one with box. I don't want to take such risk...
