Sorry guys, I have a small update to the physics for the Group 2 car. I was experimenting with a setting before release and overlooked setting it back before release. It will fix the corner exit oversteer issues with the Group 2 Zakspeed cars. I broke one of my cardinal rules and made changes to the main working file as opposed to a working copy (trying to cut corners and save time). Many, many apologies.

Hi papag21
Much appreciation to you and the team for this wonderful mod depicting a golden era of motorsport in the world and even in my own country, South Africa. GTL Legends just simply lives on and will continue to do so with quality mods such as these. Just a question in that what values of a particular file (defviews - cockpit?) needs to be changed in order for the tachometer to be clearly seen with the steering wheel attached. At the moment, the cockpit view has to be lowered in order to obtain a partial sight thereof and thereby causing you not to see the outside road clearly. Thanks for your help! |

I had a 1600 Sport MKII - one of the best cars I've owned. This really is a quality addition to GTL. Thank you very much.

Quick fix is to increase the fuel load in the garage before a race. The other way is to enlarge the size of the fuel tank in (I think) the .hdc file.

I was a also looking in the engine file and i thought it may have something to do with the consumption. Thanks again |

FIA Historics regulations appendix J Article 255 g limits the fuel tank size for cars up to 2,000cc's to 70 liters, so that's what I gave it in the HDC. (The standard Escorts in GTL also have 70 liter fuel cells). Also, I gave the BDA engine file the same fuel consumption as the standard in-game Escorts, so I'm puzzled why you would have fuel problems with this but not the original cars.
I hate to ask the obvious questions, but which track? And are you adding in enough fuel before your race (don't rely on the lap estimate in the fuel section, they are just that , estimates, especially at add-on tracks as not all track makers provide consistent FuelUse figures in the AIW file for the track). |

Really good mod.. i love it
Is any body having problems with the 1600 if you stall the engine it will not start again, the other 3 seem to be ok.. if you dump the clutch and stall the car using manual clutch you then cannot select another gear after ... if in offline mode you then toggle ai control the car will start and the ai drive off in your car.. ive tried a couple of fresh installs but still the same problem.. Rupe wilson @Racedepartment... i hope its me doing something wrong.. |

I've run across this problem before with another mod, and for the life of me can't remember what the culprit was. Let me see if I can jiggle some brain cells and figure it out..... |

These cars are a superb addition to the best racing simulator ever produced (in my opinion). I marvel at the skills of those who bring these additions to us, cars and tracks. I do have a small gripe with the Escort II though - the rear window area looks too narrow at roof level, making it 'pinched'. It won't stop me using the car in the game though!
