Race 07/Headlights?

I know this will sound strange, but from the time Race 07 came out, i read that there was no night racing in the game. I've seen posts about brighter headlights downloads & a.i. cars blinking their lights to pass you. How do you turn on the headlights for mine & the a.i. cars & are they supposed to blink their lights when passing? Thanks !!!!!!!!!!!

I forget what the key is, you can assign any, or have it as a button on your wheel. Go Options/Controls.

There is night racing at some mod tracks but no light from headlamps. The ambient light is enough to see with.

H is usually the default key for headlights I think, but as stated above if you go into the control setup you can change it to what ever you want.

Thanks for the replys, but if the headlights don't work, what good is assigning the key if they don't work? I thought i read the a.i. cars weren supposed to blink their lights when they want to pass. Just confused !!!!!!!

The headlights themselves will light up, but they wont show any light on the track surface.

Seriously? The headlights don't actually function IN the world? They're just graphical prettiness?
That is super-lame.

PLEASE tell me there's a mod to rectify this. I can't believe SimBin would do this. This really sucks. >

Well the game is based heavily on the WTCC, which don't race at night... So there was no need to spend time on making headlights fully functional when night races aren't even featured in this game.
