Possibly........ Just make a new profile and use the FFB section from the new PLR file, then copy over only the lines that need replacing.

*EDIT* Do as above says, but it will be easier to copy/paste the entire .PLR info from the new profile (instead of faffing around twice), then...

You need to be careful when copying and pasting the settings from this download. You only need the stuff between lines beginning/ending:

"FFB Device Type=" and "FFB jolt magnitude=" All that stuff is right near the bottom of your .PLR file.

Good luck!

This is real nice. I like it better than RealFeel in rFactor. But I do like a little more tire scrub feeling, if I increase FFB Effects level to High in game does that alter all of your settings?

The different levels are explained here....

Quote:
* Low:
steering force (steering+grip)

* Medium
steering force+ damper+ friction+ strips rumble

*High
steering force+ damper+ friction+ strips rumble+ brakes vibration

*Full
steering force+ damper+ friction+ strips rumble+ brakes vibration+ throttle vibration+ steering vibration.
As iv said before I recommend to use Medium, but YMMV. Whatever feels best to you.

All you will be adding if you put it on HIGH is brake vibration and no, it will not effect my FFB settings.

Maybe try increasing this line.......

Quote:
FFB steer force grip weight="0.28000" // Range 0.0 to 1.0, recommended: 0.4 to 0.9. How much weight is given to tire grip when calculating steering force.
.......to "0.35000". This should give you more information about the tires loosing grip.

Thanks Freejrs!

IMO the feedback with these settings "as is" on a Momo is rather light (like extreme power steering), but after changing the feedback level from Medium to Full, the entire racing experience simply became unbelievably good!!

Just excellent!!!

Changing from "MEDIUM" to "FULL" should not have much impact on the strength of the steering. If you you want to increase the resistance then I suggest you leave the FFB effects at "MEDIUM" and increase this line.........

FFB steer force output max="1.32000"

......until you are happy with the feeling. Using "FULL" FFB effects gives you unwanted throttle and steering vibrations. Unwanted for me anyway.

Glad you like the settings.

(better than stock ffb)by far!!

I D/L the new settings and put them in. I have a G25, but now I don't feel any FFB in the wheel. Not sure what's wrong. It is set on Medium also.

I forgot to thank you for how awesome this is. Real, I don't know - but more sharp and responsive than GTR2's default "numb" FFB.

hi there,

iīm totally new to this materia "sim-racing" and just play gtr2 since a couple of days. but, how great this feeling of driving a bhp-monster on a track is. especially the saleen s7r on barcelona yesterday, when i made a 1:42.3 (standard car settings), i was like "what"? improving your skills in this game and getting a feel for becoming faster is priceless. there is just so much to know and learn about. as a great addition to this there are people like you who give us the chance to learn "that tiny little bit" more. canīt wait to try out your settings, much much appreciated.

an ambitious beginner

After a long time to search FFB-Settings (owner of G25)

Yours with "Medium" setting is for GTR nice, really nice !!!

The Rumble and Crash Lines are very subjective not so difficult to alternate,

than your steering - damping etc. setting !!!

What is a nice steering range for this, i use now 720 (came from rfactors Touring and Historix mod) ???

Thanks a lot over 1000 !!!

For GT cars I use 540* rotation on the wheel and about 17-19* steering lock in the garage.

I think that is round about a realistic setting.

Glad you are pleased with the settings.

Yes the GT Cars the steering feels well with your setting,

Touringcars 720 rotation and now i test the Porsche 911 - 930 Turbo mod, here in 3. Parts to download, typical 911 steering lock feels for me better with less than 18.

I try now after 3 Years !!!!! GTR2 and have a good compare with other Racing-Sims.

I prefer the "medium" setting in the GTR2 FFB menu, because not to much Fake-Effects !

Your FFB with your Parameters about Steering Force,

and front wheel weight, here in the threat are very very helpful.

To make a Individual Setting:

Datas for the other car magnitude (the last from FFB in the plr-file),

Rumble-strip feeling also individual, i prefer harder feeling and reverse feeling from the tyres !

Make a very good GTR2 Feeling.
For 3 Years i deinstallation GTR2 because disappointing about the FFB, only Fake-Effects like Arcade.
Than i have my fun with rfactor (realfeel and leoffb FFB) and now GTR2 feels very nice.

Thank You !!!!!!!!!!!!!

No problem.

GTR2 has very detailed FFB but with the default settings it is very hard to feel anything at all.

Thank you very much for your ffb-settings, works really good with Driving Force GT in my opinion The only thing I changed was
FFB steer force grip weight="0.40000" up from your 0.2xxx
+ using ForceFeedback Level "High"

This has certainly made the FFB in game much better. This is what was stopping me playing GTR2.

Its much tighter and has got rid of that horrible dullness. Thanks alot

Hi freejrs, thank you for this fantastic work, I tested in g27 and works very well, but i have a question, in the readme you are talking about "you use very low look to apex" but ... where do you configure this ?

Thanks

Installed, have yet to try it (I Just purchased GTR2 during the steam summer sale so now I'm on a modding spree) but I was just wondering why you have the Effects Level at 2 instead of 4 or 5? Do you think there would or could be any adverse effects of raising this setting?

2 gives you curbs FFB. Any higher you get brake, steering and/or engine vibration FFB. You do not want any of those.

I like these settings' feedback the most, but is there a way I can lower the overall force required to turn the wheel? I have centering spring enabled in the profiler but set to 0%, dunno if that makes any difference.

This line in the .plr file...

Quote:
FFB steer force output max="1.32000" // Maximum force output of steering force, recommendation 0.8 to 2.0
Lowering it will make the wheel easier to turn.

Try "1.00000" and work up from there.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll mess around with this and see what I can do.
I think 1.32 is a bit too hard for my wheel. And thanks again for the mod , using it for both GTR2 and RACE.

This adds so much to the driving experience. I lost all my settings and upon resetting my userdata couldn't get any feel from the steering, until I remembered I had previously installed this wonderful setup. It literally transforms the game.

Works great with my G27.

I hated the way the vanilla FFB would just go dead when you turned the wheel too much in a corner. This feels much more realistic. Thank you.
