Awesome, thank you. Any chance this could be converted to GTL to run in Group 5?

Thanks for the hard work, Mogh. Looking forward to trying it out.

But is it necessary to have 26 .inccar files, 26 .cas files, and 26 chassis .gmt files, each with its own .dds? Are there really 26 different body styles? I only ask because 291 MB seems awfully bloated for a single car mod.

Also, any idea if there are templates available somewhere?

I understand that there are 26 different liveries, but unless there are 26 different body styles, they can all share one .inccar, one .cas, and one .gmt. Having a different one for each livery (skin) isn't necessarily wrong, but it does significantly add to the file size. In this case, about 100 MB.

there definitely is no need for so many .inccar files. nor .cas files. one of each should be enough. and the 3D meshes are in t1 diffuse, which i think underuses GTR-Evo graphic capabilities. with a little ease, it could be a cubmap with specular enabled.

i also think the physics are exaggerated. the cars accelerate too much and the suspension/tyres are too good. they drive better than a modern-day GT1 car, which is definitely not realistic. for me this is the worse part of it. realism is what i search for on a game like GTR-Evo.

i would rather have the naturally aspired 305bhp version of the M12 engine instead of the (fabled) 650+bhp turboed one that, in real life, proved to be less reliable than the N/A version and still not competitive enough (with the Porsche 935). the N/A 305bhp (or even the 500bhp one) could be a good addition to the Retro Pack add-on.

the headlights look strange for some reason. they don't look like glass at all, nor do they look painted. and a modern-day BMW racing wheel seems off in this 1970's classic.

BUT this is still a refreshingly new release. mogh has a lot of potential as a converter and we should all encourage him to become even better. thank you again for this release, mogh! if you need help with anything, just ask. cheers, mate!

This mod might not be 100% accurate but one thing it is - 100% fun.
650bhp M10/12 engine was the F1 engine btw...... no fables there!

100% accurate is 100% fun for me. just accept that some people think differently from you. i am as entitled to my opinion as you are to yours.

and, needless to say, the E21 320i is not a formula car. and it never ran with the F1-spected M12. do your research. this mod could, at best, be interpreted as a "modern" re-enaction of the classic E21, but even still, the perceived torque in this thing is gargantuan to the point of being hilarious. the gearbox is not well defined. as it is, this car could easily reach 400+kmh with a tune on the gearbox. can we say the same about ANY M12 powered vehicle, including the F1s? figured...

you may find it fun, but in a simulation one should crave realism. if you want arcade thrills, there are more modern and better looking alternatives out there.

If you crave realism, go drive a real car, I'm sure some one will have a G.5 E21 that can be hired, most things can these days.

Maybe take a DEEP breath of helium so you may lighten up a little

Note to Mogh: Dont upload my 'Pinky Pie Racing' My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic Ferrari F430 skin, I dont want hit men turning up

Many thanks for this. I agree with some of the comments. They are a bit too powerful and a bit short geared. I have reduced the power to 500 BHP, added a sixth gear, lengthened the final drive then added less grippy tyres. The mod is now perfect for me.

Thanks again, Nigave.

The gearbox is behaving like a sequential one.
Is there a way to make it a fully manual?? ( i don't have any modding expirience)
