I have Perfect Dark's older templates, but the newer ones got passed out so quickly, I don't think I have a good reckoning of where they are. So tracking down a painter like Jaslar16 would be good for newer skins.

@davehenrie: Just moved myself. I hate that kind of stuff. Plus: I sorted rl. It was just a huge chaotic pile of sh** for a year. Now most things are sorted. Means: I'd be in again for painting if needed.

if you could figure out the mapping error with the Luchinni's that would be something...but that is more than just painting... Check with JBorrelli, he was trying to finish another car a while back, I don't think it was SCC but any car is progress.
Thanks for the offer, I'm typing in a room that smells of old old Dog Pee. Can you say new flooring?

Hmmm... I know nothing about mapping and such...

Maybe JBorelli pops in and reads that. Is there a list with the actual status? Modding- and skinning-wise? Looks like the whole thing needs a clear base to carry on. Otherwise noone does anything. But that can be a result of my nonexistent time for over a year. The last I did for the mod were a few Zyteks (2007 & 2008) using LeSunTzu's car(s). maybe I can carry on from there. But I totally lost trace of all that. If someone could enlighten me I'd be pretty happy.

I was doing a kremer k8.. its looking very great and im planing to make it an addon for the scc mod.. Jborelii were supposed to helpe with the mapping but a coupöe of weeks went and i was forced to map it myself..

I dont know but would anyone in the scc crew offer a hand in skining..

99dk, Phrantic77? perhaps you two can work together... The SCC crew is pretty much retired. A few are still active with other sims, but for the most part, the band has gone it's separate ways.

Would be awsome i someone would like to collaborate with the skinning. Skinning is a pain.. i feel doing all of the skins by myself would take alot of my modding progress and i would be caught nowhere near completion..Just incase someone is intressted but do not trust me at all. Im free to share information or even a copy of my model..

Shame you can't just get the lot in 1

I have JSGME packages for

ALMS/ALMS 2007
JPBS
SCC
WSGT

Tried to solve all conflicts for seamless JSGME install
( AS GOOD AS I COULD WITHOUT ANY HELP from EXPERTS I asked for )

Identical conflicts included in my GTR2 template and removed from all packages
Best sound selection added in my GTR2 template/Sound
Removed all sound from all packs.
Added all fixes to the Base ALMS
Added all skins and other misc mods to the individual Mods.
Divided any Locations segments into a separate Mod to add to PnG Track linker folder.

I click install all no overwrites all works.

Now to make one pack just takes dragging and dropping all 4 into 1 which for me would be a 5GB MOD ( HUGELY smaller then all archives to install all that )

You get permission to do that from everyone.
IE: You are not editing or changing a single file anyways ?
Modders are so pretentious ! lol

Then any newbie could download 1 file and activate all mods, cars, skins, extras in 1 click.

When I think back what it takes to get all that working the add all extras it is mind-numbing.

I knew we left almost all the FLM09/LMPc cars unpainted, I was surprised nobody picked up on those and filled them in. Especially some of the first year USA skins, they were quite outrageous.

Could you help me please Dave understand these files.

I am making non-conflicting packs in JSGME
ie: transferring all same files to GTR2 template and removing all from mods.

I have already done with wavs rcd many others things but I not sure what to do here.

All the other base files in ALMS, SCC, SGT, JPBS, WSGT seem to be same files/size ...which I have all added to Template and removed from all MODS.


All those mods I mention you can see installed in PIC without a conflict.
They have all extra skins, fixes, add-ons, etc etc already included.



In PIC you can see the 2 files I mention, conflicting with ALMS/ALMS2007




The first 3 files are only default overwrites so they are cool.

P.S You can see 2 skinpacks get overwritten (GT,NGT ) by ALMS/ALMS2007 but it is to default cars so I will leave it as is.

( my skinpacks have all default and add-on skins combined including series fixes. )

One of the goals of the SCC mod was to present a complete package. We didn't want folks scrambling around finding various mods just so the SCC mod would work. So often times, to get some car fully functional, we had to add or subtract from the various mas files. The Chrome painted lolas come to mind. Not only did they require special work by the painters, we had to build and add Turbo inlets & single exhaust pipes.(or vice versa for the V8 engined Lolas) Sometimes generic skins had to be substituted for the driver and pit crews and especially the helmets. There was a-lot of helmet conflict due to so many ALMS/LM/LMES drivers participating in other series.(which is one of the reasons I kept recomending folks keep the SCC mod on a clean install of GTR2.) So, what I can tell you is there are differences, but I never cataloged what we did, we just kept working until we got the cars functioning properly.

I understand you need a separate one to run separate mods.

What I don't understand I was told in read-me's for full combo to download 4-5 mods ( ALMS and SCC included ) and other cars, fixes, etc.

Now depending which order they are installed one set of those files will be overwritten.

I just want to know if I can get away with one set or the other ...or even one file from each.


( it is for JSGME packaging )

I have not been through testing every single car and sound with my new mod packages yet, but they all test boot fine.

In fact by making new packages from the JSGME warnings they installed better then they ever have.

I mean think about it you have those mods then then you only got to add a skin of someone played with files and it crashes a porsche in SCC.

That is what JSGME solves and why I need a single version of each file.

6 different mods I know of use the identical ALMS Talent ( as far as i ran compare ) just ALMS and SCC don't.....


I try each set in order and check for bugs I guess

Answer was slapping me in the face.

More like a workaround, all I did was make separate packages named
ALMS TALENT and SCC TALENT with their respective TALENT_0708ALMS and Talent_proto files.




Now to change Series takes 1 click before you race.
Why I never thought of it sooner... p

All of them are crashing, though they worked back in 2.38, as far as I remember.

I don't think R10s were available back with 2.38 (relying on my poor memory tho)

I had some trouble, mainly because I had not run GTR2 since upgrading my system. I did get the Kolles R10s to load and run but then when I tried to load other cars the sim froze at the menus. (not while attempting to load a car)
Keys to v2.49
1. IT IS NOT compatible with previous versions of the SCC mod. If you try and install it over a previous version, bad things most likely will happen.
2. Install ALL parts. Don't try and just get the ALMS or LM carsets. This mod rwquires no other mods to operate, but it does require all of it's parts.
3. Install the hotfixes from page 1. These fixes will not prevent a car from loading, but without them, you will have issues like very weak braks .
So start with a brand new install of GTR2. patch it, used the No-cd if your prefer, and test that first.
Then install all the various paks starting with the base pack and adding the cars last.
Once all the various downloads have been installed, test the mod. Try not to mix ELMS or ALMS cars with the Le Mans cars. LM cars have different tires and fuels mixtures. If you want to race at Le Mans, use the LM carset. If you wish to race at other locations, then choose the ALMS or LMES/LMS carsets. Avoid Mixing years(loading cars from(for example) 2008 & 2006) will possibly cause Driver Helmet mismatches and who knows what else. So keep it simple. Test solo cars first. Best of luck.
