Default Media Bubble or Big City bias?

This weekend I was listening to a National Sports radio network while I was working. At one point, one of the two hosts(broadcasting from Detroit) admitted he used an Android phone. The other host(in Los Angeles) was incredulous, EVERYONE uses iphone. EVERYONE uses Apple. He spent part of the next segment laughing at his rube of a partner for NOT being part of the crowd.
Funny thing though, Android has a much larger market share than Apple. Samsung by themselves outsell Apple, and how many other companies also sell Androids?

Ditto. I can hang it on my PC, shove a memory stick in it, whatever.
It will read my email, print it too. No need for Special Steve-O-Stuff.

If my PC would run on Android, I'd do it.

F#ck Steve, but f#ck Bill too.

Am I the only damned soul around here who made the stupid decision to use a Windows phone? ...

Seriously, could be worse though. Has a "phone app" pre-installed, works fine and (surprisingly) took a lot of accidental drops without any damage.

I had a Windows phone and loved it. The Nokia Lumia 928. The camera was amazing and I loved the OS. But I dropped it on the garage floor and it was too expensive to repair.

I would not buy a Windows phone. I would instead try to run an Android PC.

Which means, I am impressed with the few faults, crashes et cetera in Android.
Whioch also means, I am UNimpressed by the number of faults and deathscreens and lack of service and viruses and everything else in Windows.

I have a LG PRO 2 (android) . Mainly because the battery can be swapped out . Comes in handy when I'm touring on the bike for a few days.

I had a Lumia 635. It wasn't bad for a $35 phone. Windows 8 had a lot of compatibly issues (most IE related), so I ran the Win 10 beta on it which worked ok. It had bugs however (eg Youtube playing 20% off the screen). Microsoft wasn't going to support Win 10 on it anymore. I found a good deal on a Moto G3 16GB unlocked for $45, which is what I use now.

As for iPhones, they are a decent price now ($200 for a prepaid 6). I think they are a good choice for someone who isn't very tech savvy, but they want a good phone that just works. Android gives you more freedom, but more opportunity for things to go wrong also.

Isn't it like one of those 'My Team/Group is better' kind of issues?
Like the Nvidia vs AMD and Rift vs Vive discussions where people get fanatic because they want to be right and belong to the 'right' group.

That said Android outsells Iphones by a huge margin
