Not in 1983, they only got the nice pieces in 84 when the works team dropped the ball and ran home.

Yes SkyWilk is correct, in 1983 Joest had a privateer Bosch unit, In 1984 they were one of a few teams to get their hands on the "Works" 1983 version of the Bosch unit. Hence these Porsche's were called 956B's

Joest only won at Monza in 1983 due to the lead Rothmans car pitting 4 laps before its scheduled fuel stop so they had to run at a massively reduced pace to make the finish on the fuel they were allowed to use per race. So Joest were able to run at a normal pace, with a little pushing and were able to catch them easily.

The 2nd Rothmans car lost the best part of 20 minutes in the pits due to a seized rear wheel bearing.

well done. Shame that with 2.2 i have to change again on all LC2 Alboretos with the real drivers wich ran in the other cars.
A bug never solved (and published) from VLM or anyone else.

I'm getting really high tyre temps (110+) in the 956 after a few laps without really pushing that hard, even using the Hard compound. Is this normal?
