Default How about an RFactor 2 Historic?

I still really enjoy Rfactor Historic but would like to see a similar version for Rfactor2. Any Chance for the future?

Not likely in the near future unless someone does an unauthorized conversion or someone has a project up their sleeve that they've kept quiet. AC has a pretty competent unauthorized conversion of the GT cars and the TransAm cars (competently done, unlike most rips).

Ripped rF2 Monte Carlo

For years they laugh about 2D crowds in rF2 but give the thumbs up to a rip
that has 2D crowds and no terrain, huh ?

Watch the front suspension movement barely any, at hairpin hard braking is no compression

Way to go, butchering a masterpiece lol

No, because:
mediocre AI that do random moves
no night (no glorious sunsets or sunrises!)
no rain
no rolling starts for single player
no realroad or livetrack equivalent
pit speed limiter is automatic-only, so can't start from pits at LeMans
can't model ultra-stiff suspensions
silly off track penalty system (can't remember if it can be disabled)
terrible skidding sound (first thing to do is turn it down)
studio head is prone to Trump-style meltdowns
dlc is a mishmash, so best to buy whole package on Steam sale
seriously lacking official tracks
cars don't have tuning options like rF2, so a few duplicate cars just to have options like wide tires for an upgrade class

Yes, because:
better-looking car models for VR
better fps
more official support
modern race cars with hybrid systems are modeled (unlike rF2)
largest casual multiplayer community (outside of iRacing)
available on console (well, some people consider that plus)
currently largest modding community, several fine scratchmade tracks available

In other words... damned if you do and damned if you don't

It has some of the best mods but some versions were better before being official content. Content without a good base game is just not worth it. Save your money.

When they were all in their infancy I called pCars best visual immersion I called AC the best Trackday sim and you all know what I think about rF2 ...( #1 fanboy according to Duc ) lol but I can say that straight faced because rF2 has just as many annoying things or glitches as any sim really

Now I just been online in rookies today and got told .... " you got next to no chance in **** you will get Historics updated DD " lool

I still slackjawed over that pCars2 Belgium, like I said proves to me how they really don't care.
They could have done better licensing "GPL Spa Historically Correct version "

Anyways object collision ( whatever ) is non existent in AC and pCars

Haybales don't budge like they made of brick and you can run over 10 posts in a row
no feeling like they invisible where as rF2 1/2 posts you can get spat out easy if you at the wrong speed, angle, off centre ... etc

The best thing about offline in rF2 ( which pawgy does 100% ) is that " no 2 races are ever the same " where restarts in AC and pCars the cars for a large part do the same things like deja vu

so I would add those 2 to list it does better

Objects moving , being able to climb staircases lol
Variety in Race restarts

Oh free-roam
which no one but woochoo has taken advantage of
...he never put move-able fences 1 mile from road for nothing p

I was hosting "longford cops" room years before that cops video

Excellent video all the same

rF2 you can swap 25 cars in garage ( I think that is still vmod max ) and retaining all lap-times all without reloading a track

I keep telling pawgy he can do this offline, I do
Run a announced dedicated sever and join yourself
then you can run every historic car a session, same conditions only reloading for a new track

2. No Mod Manager without donating, they should have brought out content manager and added way back

I was talking to Sergio Loro and he's now got Rouen in his sights . He still has his other three to four tracks to complete but this is a good sign as he's already gathering data: https://forum.studio-397.com/index.p...-2#post-924413
