actually it is the opposite : why IRG did add these lines into tracks.gdb
You can check original simbin gdb or all modded tracks by NeelJ/motorfx/zwiss/philrob/barcika/etc... : you will never find these lines in tracks but only in championship/menu gdb... so another Reborn mistake as 0rpm line IMHO

I repeat one important thing : in last v9.2 I have modified folders and files names for HQ-RP cars and tracks so delete any previous versions before installing 9.2 versions
- go to your GTR2 directory
- use windows search (white box at the top of the window) :
--> search for HQ and select all files found to delete them
--> search for RP and select all files found to delete them
- you can now install 10th Anniversary HQ, RP cars/tracks or both

Just a heads up for next version is some files leftover I think

GTR2 10TH ANNIVERSARY PATCH v9.21

Do GTR2.exe, GTR2Dedicated.exe, net.dll and net_dedicated.dll constitute Patch v1.1 / NO CD

Reason asking is I want to make that aspect separate so you can activate either Patches or Collection with or without v1.1
That way if you already use Standalone patched GTR2s ( like me ) it does not get overwritten
which will wipe the admin and compatibility settings you have previously set

AFAIK compatibility mode & Admin rights are stored once for all : I mean if you set compatibility + Admin rights to GTR2.EXE at one place then windows will apply same compatibility + Admin rights to all other files named GTR2.EXE anywhere on hdd/ssd/optical drive/USB.

Anyway only gtr2.exe is nocd, other files belong to official update 1.1
IMO the best for you would be to extract official update 1.1 somewhere in an empty folder then compare files : delete from 10th anniv patch the same files at the same place

Try moving a copy of GTR2.exe anywhere, it will reset all admin/compat changes

That is one thing you avoid in Essentials anytime you activate a mod with GTR2.exe
it will retain admin/compat

But if I overwrite a GTR2.exe in any mod enabled it will wipe admin/compat

my windows 8 doesn't work like that (I have 3 GTR2 installs, if I change compatibility settings for 1 GTR2.EXE then all others are changed the same way), so I suppose MS has changed rules for win10.

Widows 8 must be the odd man out W7 and W0 don't do that

That is really irrelevant anyways as it's fact when you copy and paste a GTR2.exe
elsewhere it won't retain the compatibility settings

Please someone try it tell me I am wrong



That is why too many times ( to the chagrin of some here ) I have highlighted mod enablers do retain the compatibility settings no matter what !

I don't see the point to do a PnG version because PnG = GTR2...so what would you do exactly ??? Main problem will remain the same : some users keep full cars whereas others delete GTR2 cars and use slim down option
- PnG full with available stock Gtr2 cars : you can install any of HQ mods or 10th anniversary patch without issue
- PnG (slim down install) : you cannot install GTR2 10th anniv patch, but you can install few HQ mods as described in readme

Well it would be called PnG HQ Collection and include any mods work in PnG renamed for PnG

That way you don't have to copy each new HQ version to PnG

Then any PnG mods can get permission for add to it

Size would be reduced for anyone does not use GTR2

What's the difference between HQ-RP AI v3.1 and REBORN AI v1.0.

I thought "RP" was Reborn as well?

Why is it called HQ-RP now? You combined them? I think you should keep the HQ name. It's like a badge of prestige now

Sorry missed this

REBORN AI is stock mod

HQ-RP (Reborn Project) AI v3.1 is improved

So whether default cars, Reborn, HQ or RP you can swap between the 3 AI and find best for a particular track

You cant use quotes in Download threads, dunno why

Collision Rate is different in each essentials player mods

Default= 20
HQ-RP = 32
Reborn = 40

I would make new mods for tests

#_02 PLAYER - TEST AI
#_03 TALENT - TEST AI

Ah, thanks for the heads up.

Btw, recently my "Spin Recovery" has been resetting to enabled every time I enter the game. I always have it disabled.

Can you guys think of any reason it would be resetting every time even when I disable it?

HQ mods collection does not modify this setting: perhaps you have installed a 3rd party mod which modifies some settings

Actually it's a bug in stock GTR2, AFAIK. Spin Recovery always resets on my end too, but this happens only if you play on Novice, if I'm not mistaken. Make sure you're playing on Semi-Pro or Simulation levels. Spin Recovery is disabled completely at such levels.

I just installed GTR2 10th Anniversary PATCH v9.3 (28th January 2018). Do I still have to download and install the following to have all everything up to date?

To be clear, only 10th anniversary Patch and HQ MODS COLLECTION are from me, all the others are done by DurgeDriven who has repacked mods especially for JSGME.

IMO you need nothing else if you have already installed the 10th anniversary Patch : nevertheless you may find interesting options in HQ MODS COLLECTION such as other colors for HUD, caliper, etc...

the list of hq mods included (with chosen options) is available in 10th anniversary Patch readme, all hq mods are included except :
- day lights (Philipp dislikes them so not included)
- f360 engine sounds (I have removed the vibration noise in left channel but bobwilliams prefers the original wav files so not included)
- RP cars&tracks : Reborn Project mod by IRG with my own optimizations (I have added HQ graphics and fixes)

10th Anniversary only includes the starlight mod for default tracks
the rest is for HQ tracks

So yes you can use 10th Anniversary + Track update GTR2 original tracks v1.1 in any order

1) In HQ Mods Collection readme it says:

So, if I'm reading this correctly, the HQ mods collection (except for HQ Moon) are NOT included in the 10th ann. patch?

I have also downloaded the HQ mods collection but not sure what to do because I already have 10th ann. patch and don't know what will be added, removed, or replaced if I also install HQ mods collection...


2) Do you know if "Track update for GTR2 Original Tracks" v1.10 will compliment the starlight track updates or do you have to use one or the other?

You should be only using one or the other


HQ Collection contains all 28 mods, most of which have multiple choice

example:

With 4- GTR2 HQ BRAKES v1.0 you have 11 choices for Calipers

With 16- GTR2 HQ RAIN v12.0 you have a single choice


10th Anniversary only contains one choice for each of the 28 mods, say hypothetically it's GTR233's favorite install

With HQ Collection you can make your own 10th Anniversary

Open all HQ Collection mods and try to work out how many possible combinations
of 28 mods you can make

I gave up it's endless hehehe

P.S. Yes I use TRACK UPDATE GTR2 ORIGINAL TRACKS v1.1 by BenMK1 with Startlights

There are 3 mods?
a) RP (Reborn Project)
b) 10th Anniversary RP (slightly modified RP, for eg. easier to manage in wet)
c) 10th Anniversary HQ

Correct?

If so, does this mean there are 3 different sets of AI/talent files for each mod?

In HQ MODS COLLECTION there are only HQ physics and RP (Reborn project slightly modified) physics. And there are 3 AI Talents : stock, HQ and RP (Reborn Project talents renamed to match stock files and avoid conflicts).
RP is not included in 10th anniversary patch.

what is included in 10th anniversary patch is detailed in readme:

Talent and AI are the same thing

Not sure what you mean by 3 mods

3- GTR2 HQ-RP AI v3_1 ?

a) HQ AI by GTR233
b) RebornProject AI by IRG
c) Stock AI by SIMBIN

You can use any 3 Talent/AI with any cars
The reason for B) and c) are for backups

hmmmm,

This isn't making sense to me. Maybe I'm dumb but in the HQ Collections mods, it says:
5- GTR2 HQ Cars&Tracks v9_3
6- GTR2 RP Cars&Tracks v9_3

But the readme in the RP folder says "I have made little modifications to optimize car behavior (with Syhlif32 advices) especially under rainy conditions (if you have already driven at spa eau rouge the default Reborn then you know what I mean), and to fix the refueling bug for few cars such as GT3 CUP."

So, going by that, it seems like this RP is NOT the official RP but a modified version therefore there are 3 versions:
a) RP
b) RP with "little modifications"
c) HQ

Are you saying that is incorrect?

Yes: RP is Reborn v1.0 modified with permissions

No: Only the Talent/AI from Reborn v1.0 is included

Durge, do you know the differences between default Reborn physics VS GTR233 Reborn physics VS HQ mod physics?

RP is very closed to default GTR2 Reborn (only small adjustments) : physics are made by Chronus, Barry and the IRG Team.

HQ physics are mine (with Philipp P996 and syhlif32 advices during our private conversations) so totally different from RP/default Reborn.

If you ask me then I will tell you that HQ physics are best (that is why they are exclusively included in 10th anniversary Patch)...but to be honest try the different versions (you can install/play with the 3 versions because HQ and RP are standalone) and make your own opinion

Can you give some info about RP VS default reborn? For example, I read somewhere that RP has big adjustments for rain making rain physics much easier than default Reborn.

very little update between default Reborn and 10th Anniversary RP :
- fixed refueling issue
- fixed sound location in 350z
- added little more grip and reduced weight a little to help cars to pass eau rouge at Spa especially under rain
- renamed talent files to match stock names and fixed é in few names
- made RP as standalone mod whereas default Reborn overwrites default cars/tracks

Install default Reborn and do this test :
- Spa
- rain 100%
- 60 cars grid
- choose slow car such as 996GT3 Cup
- start from last position
- 5-10 laps
- let your car controlled by AI (press i key)
- now just observe AI behaviour in top grid by pressing +/- keypad : especially MC12/F550/Viper at eau rouge...
