I don't often race offline or open wheelers much but thought it would be kinda fun to have a standalone install for just openwheeler series to build up my skills etc. Starting off with the rtrainer (or equivialent), then thru the different series till F1. Has anyone does this themselves and what mods do you reccommend? I'm imagining like 5-6 series till you 'graduate' for F1

Having a look around rfcentral I've come up with this list;
Shawn's Racing School (ISI rtrainer) Formula BMW Japan F3 A1GP Cart 1995 CTDP F1 2006 |

start off with some lighter series like Formula 3 , or Formula BMW , and build up through Indy Cars and Champ Cars (which are in my opinion more difficult to drive than F1 car, well atleast in rF)

Very neat idea... I wonder if game companies would do that... I know the F1 game by Sony for PS3 right now is that you have to work your way up through the teams.

You could also use iDT's Toyota Atlantics Series

If you want to simulate a real-life career ladder start off with karts. Once you've nailed those move to FBMW. After that, try Japan F3. Then it's on to GP2, and finally F1.

Ah yes Karts! Completely forgot about them lol. I guess the idea is to simulate a real-life career with quality mods in mind.
Thanks guys |

Wait a short time. You might get a better American Open Wheel Series to run.
