So now we have people ripping unauthorized stuff all over and you going to help them do it.

You think that is the right tact mate ?

I do not want another SCE filled with crappy mods.

I am sure that is what turned the real modders away from it ( No topline team bothered it )

Now AMS do the same ripping Flat6 and DTM and they both look shocking !

You sure you have implemented all the new features ?

Well done, smokey1226!

Many great mods deserve the transition.

I agree, I do but without implementation of the new features they will be
nothing more then GSC clones.

Dynamic tire, damage, dirt pickup and more to come needs to be properly implemented.

Sure you could make conversions of conversions, I guess the majority would be happy but it would do nothing to interest top scratch modders to do a lot more work implementing features.

In my humble opinion GSC for the most part had more unflattering mods then any gMotor titles.

There was a few standouts

OT.

rF2 has been modding over 4 years and I would put barely 10-20% of 3rdParty that is really good.

The rest has unimplemented features.

AS with rFactor2 now with AMS you must wait for new features to be implemented and updated .....then include the changes.

GTL>GTR>RACE>RFACTOR>GSC>SCE........ ...you never needed to do that.

Is that so wrong, to want a good list of AMS mods here at NG ?
I do not get why ?

There is a reason there are barely any GSC/SCE vehicle mods here.

Durge spammed and killed another thread before 9am and even managed to throw in a Rfactor comparison. Well done .

People have to start somewhere and god forbid someone releases a mod without "dirt pickup".

According to Durge the gatekeeper and moral decider for all sim racer's mods can never be updated and must be professionally polished before release otherwise it's Garbage and not even worthy of a thread.

AMS looks so promising for modding, especially since it already seems to be getting more exposure than SCE ever did. I hope the negative attitudes of some don't squash the community interest here or elsewhere.

There is a spectrum of good and bad mods, in quality and legality, for every game. If you ever want to see good mods and new people learning to mod, the tools have to be available. Regulate the content on NG instead of modding tools Durge

Fair enough, like I said I can respect that.

Yes I agree it does look promising but not if it follows the same old path.

By regulate you mean allow no permission coversions.
Not up to me mate, speak to NG.

Patrick Giranthon's , ASR and other conversions were great in SCE

But AMS has new features that need implementing to enjoy the sim the way the developers meant it to be ? or ........ they would have just made yet another re-packaged GSC without the new features ?

Good and bad ....your words.

For a conversion to be Good in GTR or rF or SCE is much the same process.

For a conversion to be Good in rFactor2 and AMS the NEW features need to be implemented.

Not a person agrees not my problem, won't lose any sleep......

Never meant to upset Smokey but, it was not personal I was speaking out to anyone listening , sorry man.

Especially when it comes to the hypocrisy of constantly attacking others over modding ethics and complaining about model ripping whilst simultaneously using and encouraging others to download mods known to have ripped models in them...

I have never put all rips in one category

That would be hypocrisy ( roll eyes)

You do not like my philosophy too bad !!!! like get a life mate !@

what are you preacher for all.

You miss the point, simple conversions will be nothing but GSC clones , what is the use of that

Anyway anyone wants to do it, do it ? am I stopping you ?

I never told him to delete his post , don't blame me. !

I agree, I would like to see the new features implemented. I do not want to spend all my time downloading updates to the updates of the mods.

But, everyone should remember that AMS is still in beta. Reiza won't release any modding tools, till after the commercial release.

They haven't released any info about the implementation of the new features added to the game, and there are parts of the code that are encrypted to prevent modders from ripping.

In all fairness to Patrick, he is doing some decent conversions with the limited amount of resources and knowledge available to him. Also, it appears he requests necessary permissions to do the conversions.

Plus, I'm sure once the game goes commercial, very little of the new content Reiza publishes will be free.

Then there is the upcoming 2017 version of the ""NEW" game.....

Modding AMS & the future iterations of this game will not be as easy as it was & is for GTR2 & PNG...........

Yes I have nothing against anyone that wants to use any package in any sim.

Nothing will change just more have voiced sentiment on the subject then other sims.

Many others and probably more so modders won't express sentiment as they could be seen as hypocrites.

I feel a lot do not want another GTR2 or PNG as you say.

Having said that the ambiance with GTR2 Multi-Patches by GTR233 is pretty awesome. lol

I wasn't referring to any preference of one game over another.

I was referring to ease of making or converting mods for the older games, as compared to modders trying convert their work into Automobilista.

Reiza is still making changes to the game code that have some of the converted mods not functioning anymore.

Case in point: "rfDynHud". A mod that Reiza implemented into the game.......

I don't think Reiza will release any modding tools at any time. Part of their licence agreement with ISI for the use of ISIMotor2 precludes them making Automobilista a modding platform.

Hey guys
Quick one here. I added a MoD that broke/overwrote my realfeel plugin. Now all the cars drive like F1 cars.
Any help I can get to fix it will be appreciated.

default one ?

Delete RealFeelPlugin.ini

Right click Automobilista in Steam List
Click Properties
Click LOCAL FILES
Click VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES.........

That will check and replace all missing default files

BE WARNED ! Any "mods" should be removed first !

Of course depending on how modded your folder is to do that manually
is a nightmare

Why I use and recommend OVGME , 1 click de-activate all mods ( restores all files ),
verify install and/or update, 1 click activate all mods again

Here is some handy OVGME Mods

I wanted to be able to race one make TC Classics including 3rd party skins which you cant pick individual models for all classes

So I made a mod for each TC make so they need to be enabled to use

enabling the 2 mods shown below you get 24 Fuscas on grid

If there is a AMS update you enable the 4 mods for default cars and disable the mods for skins

That will put back stock files so you can then update
