Arrow Power&glory v3.2 released!!!

A new update Version 3.2 is now available for the Power & Glory Mod for GTR2. There is an updater to update existing 3.1 installations and a complete 3.2 installer for new users.

This update features heavily revised physics for all the Ford GT40 variants and all the Porsche 906 variants, based on lots of new technical information which has come to light since the physics for these cars was originally done. The GT40 graphics have received numerous improvements and there is a new car the 1969 IGFA German Racing Team GT40. Changes to the Porsche 906 models are confined to the accurate reproduction of the size of the four different sets of tyres fitted to the various models. The Lotus Cortina graphics have also been improved and feature a new interior for the 1964 models.

As you would expect there are also a number of bug fixes.

More details can be found on the Development Blog at www.gtlw.co.uk which also includes links to User Manuals for the Ford GTs and the Porsche 906.

The GTLW is currently a very small team. We did spend three weeks testing this in our free time finding and fixing about a dozen issues. But please be patient with us if there are new issues with 3.2 and if we didn't fix all the issues with 3.1.

EDIT: if you're having troubles during or after P&G v3.2 installation, please have a look at this thread.
If the solutions provided there didn't work for you, please post in that thread, exposing your issues.

Finding free and unlimited hosts for large files like these is a bit problematic. We are grateful to DrivingItalia for hosting the files. Downloading does require registration on an Italian site and while this might put off the casual user, we hope that existing fans of the mod realise any small inconvenience is worth it and will give you access to DrivingItalia's large range of mods and tracks.

Anyone else having a problem with this update? I have tried downloading twice, and both times the program doesn't run. Don't know if its corrupted or what, but it just spins on forever.Any tips,or advice would be appreciated.

Many thanks to the team for their continued efforts in keeping P&G going forward. Its refreshing to see a mod see continuous improvement and to remain on the same platform. Kudos to your team for a job well done and much appreciated.

The left hand drive car in 3.1 was a rally car which wasn't really a good fit with the rest of the mod. Left hand drive Lotus Cortinas did not enter production until late in 1965 and production ended in August 1966, so they were not very common, and racing versions were very rare if indeed they existed. I did check photos of the 66 and 67 TRANSAM Cortinas but all these were right hand drive. If anyone can find photos of a Lotus Cortina racing in Group 2 in 1966 or 1967 with left hand drive we will gladly add it to P&G.

Just to re-assure you we are not ignoring your issue but unfortunately our installer guru aSa is currently ill and I don't have a clue what might be wrong. I did wonder about delaying release until he was well but felt on balance we should go ahead. Thank you for your patience until we can get back to you.

The link is the writing with big arrows >>>>> <<<<< in the first post

Go to www.gtlw.co.uk and click on the DOWNLOADS section.

EDIT - just remembered you recently downloaded 3.1 so you might be seeing the old page. Use this link and refresh the page

The mega dl link worked fine for me, install worked.

Thanks to all at GTLW, this is still my favorite, just above GPL65!

With the release of P&G 3.2 for GTR2,
the upcoming Lola T70 for rFactor 2,
the upcoming 1966 CanAm mod for GPL,
the 1973 USAC mod for rFactor from HSO,
as well as all the Dave Sabre mods for rFactor,

2016 is already overbooked. I need to clone myself.

And don't even get me started on driving an ambulance with a missing left front wheel through rush hour traffic while being pursued by 8 police cars and 2 police helicopters in GTA V on the Xbox 360.

edit ;ACK a new 1967 GPL mod.

No problems here with the update.

Great job on the GT40's, guys. They're even more fun to drive now than they already were. I'll check the 906 when I've finished a Spa 24h with each of the GT40 models

Muchos gracias, vielen dank, merci bien, thanks a bundle!

Thanks for the feedback and glad you like them.

The difference between the old and new 906s is less marked. There was just so much new information it cried out to be re-done. The new one has quite a bit softer suspension but should still be fun. Just make sure you set your steering lock to 745 degrees for the 906 and 810 degrees for the Ford GT MkII. The MkI GT40s are fine just as they are for 900 degree wheels.

The Mega site gives me the fastest d/l speeds, but on three attempts it stops at about 60%. Trying an alternate now.

If anyone is interested (or even if they are not), I'm again working on updating the LOD screens for V3; the corruption of the master files, and the fact that many people prefer a hard link to their GTR2 locations folder, induced me to "backburner" the project ages ago. (And a general burnout with racing sims and flight sim meant the only time I've fired up either in the past year was to check liveries I painted for others.)

We recommend 900 degrees for all cars except

Porsche 906 - 745 degrees

Ford GT MkII - 810 degrees

leave steering sensitivity at 50%

Between the new GPL 67 F1 mod and this for P&G. I don't need anything else.

Very, very good Mod. Thanks.

Too bad I can only find that it has not implemented the 1973 version of the "Fritzinger" Ford Capri.

I once attached below a picture of the version. Would be really great if you would realize this version.

Thanks for that information.
What the team has done with the Mk.II GT40 is already Best Improvement of a Modded Car 2016. It's still a beast of course, but it's now a manageable and most importantly a credible beast.

Now start working on a P&G for AC (I kid, I kid)

We wondered if some of our file hosts would have issues with bandwidth. As it happens its the P&G website which has had problems with bandwidth and is temporarily down.

Am running 3.1 for some time with no problem and am hesitant about a complete re-install. I read your explaination fairly closely but do not know weather i can do just an update of my present install. If not I may just stick with what I have. Thanks

Just went to P and G Home page www.gtlw.co.uk and see there is an updater only 795mgb. i think this is what I am looking for.

It is indeed - hope things go smoothly. We've only had one person report a problem after around 1000 downloads.

Smooth as silk. Installed and running nicely.

Had just one small hesitation during install. The installer said it could not find my 3.1 update in the registry but i choose to proceed anyway as my install on my new computer was a transfer from my old xp. Evidently when I transferred all the files it did not do anything in the registry.

3.1 is running great with the updater.

Thanks for all your hard work on this fine mod.
