Cool. I will be there.

We could do with some of you lads racing at Simracing.org.uk on wednesday evenings if you are available. The Coppa d'Italia series is running the F458 next outing, so might be good practice? and fun ofcourse!

Cheers

I would love to join your races but just doing our Sunday race + the DiRT Rally events now sucks all my game time. I previously tried doing the Wednesday night races here last year and I had to give up as it was just too taking too much of my time.

That's also another reason we now run bi-weekly races, doing it every week was stopping it being fun and instead it was becoming a chore

No worries. It is for the fun of it indeed. You guys can just turn up and do the races, all very laid back really. And only when any of you are available of course!

Already had a spin in the F458, really good fun

The tuned version (it's the actual "Speciale"?) of the 458 is a blast to drive, it will be interesting to drive and compare with the standard one.
The race will be a single one?
Setup will be locked or free?
In the latter case I'll post a setup later this evening.

yes it is, but we raced the s3 before, so this time we take the standard one

Well, i think the best setup option is TC-off and you are done.

Ok, after some tests, I post this setup, if it can be useful.
The default one is also good, I just tweaked it adding more front camber and slightly lowering front tyre pressure.
I never reached core tyre temps higher than 70C, so expect massive graining after 10 laps. Anyway, the car is quite fast with this setup, at least at the very first laps.
Important note: this thursday there will be the AC 1.5 update, and it's possible that this setup will be useless after it.

I'll be there, I think I'll only get an hour practice before the race so I'll be hanging in the back.

I've just tested the car on the updated build and tyre model.
Now the tyres are not always stone cold after a straight, and stay on the operative temperature range. The only tyre that suffers slightly graining here at Vallelunga it's the front right, but it's quite normal in this track with such many right corners.
Also, semi-slick tyres have a faster wear, I barely managed to do 15 laps then the rear tyres were literaly gone, so if we'll do a single race of 30 laps a pit would be mandatory. But eventually I think that it would be better to have 2 races of 15 laps.

On a side note: I gave to the new Vallelunga classic layout a go, and the Trincea corner was amazing. While in the complete layout is just flat out, in the classic one is just after a faster right corner: quite demanding, it would be nice to race here.

Semi slick tyre wear was fine, why have they changed it In real life you could throw on a set of 888 or whatever is your tyre of choice, go do a trackday and expect that even the soft ones would last that 1 day...

So based on this info I guess its 2 x 15 lap races tonight (unless my testing today shows otherwise, but I doubt it will)
