Default Let's Race Grand Prix Legends (Video Series)

Hello all,

Not sure why I didn't post in here, but I've been posting my videos on the front page for quite some time now. I've been doing a "Let's Race" of Grand Prix legends, starting with the 1965 season, and will hopefully continue through until 1969. Currently I have just finished the United States Grand Prix of 1965, but I wont spoil anything in case people here haven't seen the videos yet. Here is a link to the playlist with all of the videos!

Can you come over to my house and do the play-by-play while I race? Would make my races so much more interesting

Is anyone else not seeing anything up there, aside from "1965 Rand Grand Prix!"?

Late to the party here - missed this thread first time round. Loved watching some of the 65 races. Will watch the rest when I get time.

BTW just to follow up on some of your comments during the Zandvoort race. GPL doesn't model tyre wear or flatspots. If you feel you are losing grip it will be tyre temperatures (too hot).

Racing tyres back in the 60s were the opposite of today. Brand new tyres offered the least grip - drivers would normally start a race on scrubbed tyres - and grip would increase as the tyre wore - though not by a huge amount. Not modelling wear is a fair approximation.

By 65 tyres were only used for a race. The story of Jimmy Clark using a set of tyres for three races dates back to 1963 when the tyres were harder.

Always nice to learn something new. I did not realise that story of using tires for more than one race was so much earlier on. I do know that GPL doesn't model flat spots or tire wear though. I just like to add some fictional things to my videos sometimes.

Such as when I care for other drivers saftey, of course I know they'll be okay
