Default Simraceway, waste of money

So I downloaded the free game and I bought two cars, Renault Megane Trophy and the Ford Mustang BOSS 302. I wanted to chnag eth color of my BOSS 302 but you cannot extract the .MAS with gMotor 2. So, what I am stuck with an orange car?

I'm going back to GTR 2 and rFactor

It's still only a beta, they've said they may introduce this feature later but that it's not a priority.
I think it's fun and adds to the ever growing amount of driving games on offer to us.

Since it's a rfactor based Sim (basically a mod of rfactor for all intents and purposes) the encryption protection provided by ISI is used. VLM used the same thing for their rfactor tracks. There is a workaround out there.
But I will say that if you are down on the whole sim for just that reason then perhaps you never wanted to like it in the first place.

No I like the game itself, it's pretty accurate. I just love my BOSS 302. I wanted to turn into the black/red version we have here in the States.

Anyways I spoke with them and now I understand. I've even suggested cars to them and they actually took time to listen.

I feel bad for hastily starting this thread now.

Admitting to a mistake is a good thing.

Simraceway is still in its infancy, so, as with GTR3/rF2/AC/CARS, we can give the developers the benefit of a doubt. It may turn out spectacularly good. Plus, the platform is good (isiMotor2 has been used by Reiza with great success).

I've been playing GTR2 since 2006! I am dying for another platform for my league to race on! GTR2 is becoming an "old whore" ... we use her so much!

The thing about an old whore is she always knows how to please!

But you are right. We need something new. Simraceway is definitely a step in the right direction. It's good to see how much can be squeezed out of the ISI engine, just like Reiza have done. Both games still look very good considering the age of the platform. Plus Simraceway have got some good drivers helping develop the physics through their race school and it shows. Hopefully it will allow us to have the little extras like paint schemes in the final release, but for now its still good fun.

I've just got one of their SRW-S1 wheels too and its a really nice piece of kit. Unfortunately the LEDs dont work in rFactor or GTR2 but it feels really good to hold and the build quality is superb. Looking to get a quick release kit so I can attach it to my G25, I cant get used to that Wii feel.

SimRaceWay still has a long way to go, but the potential is there and they certainly have some very powerfull backing. (Their logo was all over the spotter guide for LM24H this year, and it was in every commmercial break on Radio LM)

Btw Simon / Yeti you don't really need that quickrelease thing to attach a SRW1 to a G25. You can make an adapter if you like, but I have a mate who's just used the "screwholes" on the back of the wheel, and then attached it with the original screws from the G25. it just needs a bit of support in the gap between the axle and the backplate of the wheel. You do have to open it up though, to drill out the cone-shaped "screwholes". He did lose the paddles though, so he uses the ones on the G25. You need an adapter piece, to make room for the paddles on the rear of the SRW wheel. But it's all very possible to do.

How's La Sarthe coming along btw.?

Hey Dude,
I've already designed an adaptor for it haha. But a nicely designed QR system for £85 is a bargain. Le Mans is coming along slowly but surely. You can check out my blog for updates.

Yea, Simraceway is getting their name out there. Obviously they would be involved in Le Mans in someway with Alan McNish being on board the project and their R18 being just released. The game can only get better.

Hello Rob

I attempted to join sim raceway last week. I filled out the Information and submitted it. I was then told that I would receive an e-mail to confirm my application.....I still have not received any e-mail from SRW???

Since I cannot even log into the SRW web site. I cannot report the problem!
I even tried to resubmit my application to make sure I had put in the correct info and was told that my info had already been submited. I finally got so POed,that I decided to join iRacing instead!

I would appreciate any help with this matter. If I do not. Then I will relay that information. I hope you understand my frustration. I also used the same user name on my application. as here...simel
