Folks, starting today we are restricting user accounts where the email address is proven to be out of date / no longer in use.
Why are we doing this? It's now far too easy to get the server IP and/or domain name put on some spam database and have your emails refused by all and sundry. Having the server repeatedly trying to send new PM / post notifications to dead email addresses does nothing to help this. How do you know my email address is dead? If the site tries to send you an automated email and it doesn't get there, it bounces back to the sending address with an error message. We can see from this message if its a temporary error or if the email address no longer exists. Temporary errors such as "inbox full" will probably not get your account restricted, unless they go on and on. What happens if my account is restricted?
