Default What cars do you want to see in GTL?

Just for fun post, the cars are great in GTL, but what add-on cars would you folks like to see? I'd really like some Datsuns, a 510 and a 240 would be very welcome additions.

More importantly, where's the 69 Camaro "Z28" that completely dominated Trans-am racing in the 70's? 305 CID with some 400 hp at sky-high (at the time) rpms?

Or how about the Dodge Challenger?

Or AMC Javelin?

GT Legends shouldnt just be all about those wicked-cool euro-only cars ya know.

Post away.

Brendan

Also, it goes without saying that GTL needs a few of these:

some nice choices there i think once compleat new cars start to apear for GTL there will be a lot to add the game has a hell of a lot of potential expansion as long as it's done right must admit i was a little disapointed there wasn't a little more choice of cars :p :roflmao:

There are many cars I'd like to see - beginning with a racingbeetle to a NSU TT and ending with a 69 Pontiac GTO. But if I'd only one whish, definitifely a BMW 2002. No touringcar-race in the 70th without a couple of them. This car wrote a piece of history in motorsports and are still present in every historical race, so I never understanded, why it was left out in GTL.

Triumphs and MGs are the most common classic european sports cars here, before the 80s. Since the eighties, we have lots of BMWs and Audis. Fiats and most others are very rare here.

I'd like to see one of these: 64 Mercury Comet

I don't think it would be to hard to do since the Falcon and Comet shared chassis.

Jucke....

agree with the Lancia Beta Montecarlo...

But what about the stratos????

How about a lotus 7, or maybe even the newer caterhams.
Theres always the tiger racing z100.
An if we want something stupidly fast, how about something by radical, maybe the SR8; fastest production car round the nurburgring.

Just a few to throw in the pot...

Default Cars in gtl

I don't know if anyone has mentioned the sixties FORD GALAXIE'S that are so impressive on the straights , also 67 - 70 MERCURY COUGAR , 66 PLYMOUTH BARRACUDA or some of the australian sixties / seventies racers TORANAS , FALCONS etc .
Also i think that any new additional cars should be equal with GTL 's existing selection / quality and of the same historic racing theme , some other racing sims have all manner of MOD'S most of which seem to dilute the games core racing essence and become something of a wish list for all and sundry , someone will probably do a citroen xm for it .

Very cool to see some Datsun fans in here. A friend and I used to race some 240s for a few years. I've moved on to Porsche's, but he still carries the torch with his 510 project: http://www.detroitdatsun.com/pages/race_cars.htm

Although they did include some rare vehicles in this game, I definately agree that they missed some of the most memorable race cars. Several Porsches and Ferraris come to mind and adding some Datsuns would certainly be a nice touch.

Found some pictures of this interesting study:
The Opel Geneve was a styling study by General Motors. It featured a mid-mouted Opel Diplomate V8 engine, with 5354cc, developing 230bhp and a top speed of 235 km/h. The car was never put into production.

How about a street E30 M3 converted from Race/GTR2 ? (Do you think these count as classics by now?)

I think that first to convert, is the gt70 mod for gtr2 with lancia and porsche, I think it shouldn't be a big problem, but what this game really need is the miura and countach!

It's all the same as AMC AMX/3. Detomaso Pantera (financially supported by Ford) killed both projects as GM and AMC believed that they can't compete from small market without losing too much money.

Not really. GTR2 / RFactor is much better game for these.

IF BMWs should be done, those would be 1600Ti or 1800Ti

Me either.

(I'll accept the risk of being quite unrealistic... what gentleman driver would ever drive his +1,000,000 worth 250 GTO in a FIA GTC championship? )

Some will, but about unrealistic: How many of those are left in the whole world?
What if somebody decides to make a skinpack, geaturing 50 GTOs in zebra-strripes and all that...

No the 250 GTO is a beauty

The FIA Historic Championship doesn't seem to have attracted GTO owners but the Goodwood Revival has - in 1999 there were no fewer than seven GTOs in the Tourist Trophy event. I must admit its top of my wish list for GTC-65 cars, followed by the Aston Martin DP214 or the DB4 Zagato.
