Steve, i try to get online Tues/Wed night after 8 for a couple of hours if thats any good?
Getting back into P&G after a 3 month trial with iracing ( really felt like a trial and a chore! ) and also have a trip to the Le Mans Classic in a few weeks time so this should wet the appetite

Regards Mark.

Hi Mark,

Im going to leave it running, but yes Tues/ Wed always good for me!

I know what you mean about iRacing! Ive been a member for over a year now, and there is something just not right? Although I do love the Oval racing! I always seem to do rather well, until Ricky Bobby & Co notice that im British and take insult to the fact im leading them! . Then they usually slam into me and hurl abuse that ive just wrecked thier race?!? . But then I do find it really amusing! Most of the time?

But yes I always return to Power & Glory as to me its still the only sim that just feels right.

Thats what I dont understand? Whats wrong with 2.1 to have uninstalled it? Seems like a lot have done this? I wouldnt have thought drive space would be an issue? Hard Drives are cheaper than cigarettes!

There is nothing really wrong with 2.1, it's still best historic racing mod in my opinion. It's just the fact that almost all cars i _really_ want to drive are in v.3.0 Even thought i still play 2.1 quite lot.

That's ok.
While I also think there's nothing "wrong" with P&G v2, I can honestly understand some reluctance to (re)install it.
There have been hints and spoilers of P&G v3 (images, videos, discussions, etc) and there are some substancial differences afterall. Perhaps that is making the current "old" version feel a little redundant for some (heck, even I haven't use it for ages), a downside unfortunately.
Mogget was a v3 beta-tester for a time (I think), so maybe his pov gets to be a little more justified(?).

Still... it can't hurt to reinstall P&Gv2, if at least to get some "apetite" and some feel, for what is coming.

Well............. I was trying to get some "period correct" broly dollies (as in "as they were then", not fat old ladies! ) and the pitguys with huge sideburns but... we haven't manage to implement that (yet!!).

Very happy to carry on with P&G V2.1.
Tried out all the new sims, iracing,Pcars,Rfactor 2 but still continue with P&G.
The game just feels right, but i agree it is missing the "period correct brolly dollies and the pitguys with huge sideburns"

Regards Mark.

I didn't uninstall it. I purchased a new PC, and decided to wait for version 3 before I installed it again

My decision has nothing to do with whether I think that version 3 is vastly superior to 2.1. I am very keen to start racing in P&G again, but I want to do that with version 3. I prefer to wait for the new version than have to install it twice. I guess that sounds a bit strange, but I am quite happy to wait.

Well, for a bit longer anyway

I would join if I had time, and I would need to install 2.1 as a separate install as I only have various v3.0 installations. Funny thing I never got to race v2.1 online ever, and being the team member for the 3.0 build I will change that for this version most definitely.....even we amongst each other in the team did not have a real chance to race the v3.0...

Hi Steve, how about setting up a day and time to race and see if that gets a response?
Or can you set lap times on the server and you could list the fastest?

cheers, Mark.

I subscribe to Iracing also. However I dont use it much after I progressed up in licensing, found it steril, and unpopulated for the advanced road racing. Now GTL, and P&G have that feel and cars that I like. Have had a few league races with GTL, but never been online with P&G. I'll keep an eye on this to see if there are any orginized races/practise, but I am in the US which is difficult from a time perspective.
