WRC3 is so amazing.. Who played WRC2 knows this is a major step up both in graphics and physics!

If only it was possible to remove the wheel+hands and adjust the seat it was a full sim...

I have this bug too.

SB X-fi xtreme audio with Win7-64, I have the latest drivers.

Tried to reduce the number of sounds, but no effect

//
I enabled EAX effects and all other options in the SB soundpanel, and now it works

anyone knows how to get rid of the built in force feedback for xbox 360 pads, it is driving me nuts that it reverts it back as it would be unplugged everytime the force is supposed to be used. Couldn't find an option to disable this in the demo.

You can temporarily resolve this into the start menu to choose restart race..
But this issue does not always happen..Yesterday I played the whole afternoon and nothing happened (PS3).
well I noticed that some ambient sounds may not always playing.
hopefully it will be fix by a patch.

Does it support super-wide resolution (eyefinity/nvidia surround)? Also does it support multiple controller this time?

Edit: Got the answer. Not support Eyefinity, neither multiple controller.

Well at least my g25 and TRS8 gearstick works perfectly. I have gears in TRS8 and handbrake in G25's sequential stick.

FFB is a bit weird but all in all quite good fun and huge improvement to previous versions.

For those who have SOUND trouble!! At racedepartment you can find a "solution"??

Copy: Launcher Dialog DLL.dll and Engine.dll from the Demo.

Please read racedepartment forum, this because I'am a PCnoob!!

Hope this helps.

pre-ordered it, tried the demo (pc), found it laughable and cancelled my order.
no eyefinity support, menu´s flipping on its own once the wheel axxis is set.
graphics looked poor to me.

That seems to quite logical..the sound on the demo was good .. no failures or problems.
Nice for the PC gamers that this is solved with the demo fix,
Unfortunately the console gamers have to wait for a patch.

As for the sound issue, there is a non-invasive way of walking it around. After hearing GO! go to menu and hit Continue game. No need to modify anything. The thing is to move to menu JUST AFTER the GO!. This way the pilot is not interrupted and you can hear what the close corners are.
Going to menu before GO! doesn't help. This would mean it is somehow connected with copilot sound engine but it makes no sense

Hello,

i have bought the downloadversion from WRC3 (at GameStop).

But the game will not start. I can start the WRC launcher but when i click the ok button. I get back to the desktop.

I have send an e-mail to the mileston support but at the moment i have no answer.

Does anyone else have the same problem?

Strange is,that the WRC3 Demo start and i can play the demo. But why i have problems with the fullversion of the game?

Need help

@up

Back-up all the little files in WRC3 main folder. Copy and paste 'Launcher Dialog DLL.dll' and 'Engine.dll' from the Demo to the full version. Maybe it will help.

Unfortunately my setup (G27 & Button box) isn't quite working. Well... I can't really say it's completely not working but I can't use any button from my button box, the only thing that works is d-pad and only in menu. I suspect that the game works with multiple controller if and only if it has preset for both of them and you don't change button config.

In case you haven't discovered yet: ALL career cars are available for single stage/single rally! Stay to Road To Glory, pick any event, select 'free run', choose 'Single stage/single rally' and finally pick any car, from any class you wish!

Well, the game don't support multiple controllers, as last years, same engine.

The D-Pad and wtv works ONLY for menu. Not to configure handling. BUT.

BUT.

As i did say last year, you CAN mix multiple controllers emulating them with GlovePIE making to look JUST AS ONE CONTROLLER.

In fact you need three apps: PPjoy - GlovePIE - x360ce (xbox360 emulation, set to 'wheel'. The only way the game detect as wheel and give the options for that -linearity, dead zone, etc, etc-).

This is my Script for GlovePIE:

Quote:
midi.DeviceIn = 14
debug = midi.InDevName
PPJoy1.Analog0 = MapRange(midi.cc64, 0,127, -1,1)
PPJoy1.Analog1 = MapRange(Joystick.z, -1,1, -1,1)
PPJoy1.Digital0 = Joystick.Button1
PPJoy1.Digital1 = Joystick.Button2
PPJoy1.Digital2 = Joystick.Button3
PPJoy1.Digital3 = Joystick.Button4
PPJoy1.Digital4 = Joystick.Button5
PPJoy1.Digital5 = Joystick.Button6
PPJoy1.Digital6 = Joystick.Button7
PPJoy1.Digital7 = Joystick.Button8
PPJoy1.Digital8 = Joystick.Button9
PPJoy1.Digital9 = Joystick.Button10
PPJoy1.Digital10 = Joystick.Button11
PPJoy1.Digital11 = Joystick.Button12
PPJoy1.Digital12 = Joystick.Pov1Up
PPJoy1.Digital13 = Joystick.Pov1Left
PPJoy1.Digital14 = Joystick.Pov1Down
PPJoy1.Digital15 = Joystick.Pov1Right
I'm mixing a joy transformed in a wheel and a midi expression foot pedal (i'm musician ^^) as a throttle.

Create your own script suiting your needs.

Hope that helps. You CAN'T miss this GREAT NEW IMPROVED game just for the multiple controllers crap.

Yes, i love the game, HUGE steps forward from the ugly previous ones. The handling are just awesome, and so the tracks and graphics and rest!

p.s: maybe the problem is FFB, i don't use it, but i'm sure there is a way to activate it by the emulating soft.

Thanks, bertox. This helps a lot although I don't care much about my button box not working but just to point out that this game still doesn't support multiple controller.
For me the game has huge improvement over the last one.
FFB is also improved from the last one, no more annoying and distracting type of shaking but still weird in transferring the grip. It seems like every surface has same level of grip. So I play it with Xbox360 gamepad and it's just so fun and vibration feedback is just great.

Yeah it's quite possible that controller needs to be coded into the game to work properly. In game menu it doesn't show that there's multiple controllers connected and it even marks both gearleavers as a same, meaning that my gear down (TRS8) and handbrake (G25 sequential) are both button 9 but still they work just fine in game. I've also changed some buttons in g25 gearbox and everything works very well.

normally is the F10 button, but this does not work either for me.
So I tried a few buttons on my logitech controller...and guess what,
the x button is used to change camera with me.
This button I give the command in the game to get the car to reset(PC),
So I would say...press the reset car button in replay..who knows
hopefully it helps you.

What's with that "Opponents level" bar?
I put it only halfway, and still can't compete with the AI!

In WRC2 I used to have it 2-3 notches higher than that and still be competitive.
Has anyone else noticed this problem?

Loving the game, a definite step in the right direction. For those using a wheel and on a PC, remember you must use combined pedals. I wish they would not have it this way but have realized it is not as big a deal as many may make it.

And Hezemans, good to see you trying the game old friend

It may depend on which wheel you have but if you go in to configure your wheel and you find you cannot arrow around to where you need to. then you need to use "report pedals as combined axis". This has resolved the issue for myself and a few of my friends

I use Logitech Driving Force GT with separated pedals without any problems. This game is crazy, i like it better than Dirt 3. You can set up your car in a various ways to handle it better on a different surfaces.

Guys, I have a huge problem with the demo: The accelator is inverted. I go to the controls menu, highlight the acclerator option, press the pedal and nothing happens, then I depress it, it shows as the control. And then the menu goes wild scrolling through options. I have to keep the accelerator half pressed to make it stop and use the arrows to move around options. Then when I start a rally, the accelerator is inverted. Brake seems to be working fine

I'm using a Logitech Formula Force EX with seperate axis for accelerator and brake. I don't want to use combined axis (although that works without problems), because this is a rally game and I demand left foot braking . Any help appreciated!

Have enjoyed game (coming from PS2 Richard Burns)

Excellent detail and variety to cars
stages narrow, long and twisty/bumpy

Have found handling wise to be quite forgiving (even with all aids off) - I feel as though I "push" the car around the stage rather than "guiding" it. Think what I'm trying to elaborate is theres not as much inertia as I'd like.

However when I tried a Group B Citroen with better power to weight this was a much better step in the right direction. Suddenly opposite lock was needed and a more careful approach.

Could this be a reflection on modern day WRC cars with reduced bhp - I'm not sure.

Previously I'd wondered if stages were made of cut and pasted sections which really bothered me! However after studying and mapping out Spain it seems you have one very long circuit and the stages are comprised of runs forward and reverse through various sections of it.

This I'm ok with - I'd still prefer standalone stages but at least its not cut and paste like I thought.

Overall very good!

One thing I'd love to see is a google style satellite photo of the overall stages in each country and to see where each stage runs from/to and the various landmarks.

Additionally:

Co-driver - much better! Previous one was infuriating. Pacenotes are good - one improvement would be more distances included in them.

Sounds - not great - think this has been covered.

Car models - amazing - truly great.

Damage - superficial only which looks great but has minimal effect - needs to be vastly increased.

Replays/photos - top notch.

Am I the only one who thinks that the stages have to much tight curves and the roads are to wide? I find the stages boring and really no challenge at all. Except Germany and Finland you almost don't have the opportunity to crash due to pushing yourself to the limits.
If you compare it to Richard Burns Rally for example, there is much more track variety.
I find myself doing U turns all the time. It's not that I dont love it, I love pulling my handbrake, but all the time, is tedious.

Yeah, now that you've mentioned it, I did feel there was a bit too much hairpins in the stages.
However, I do believe you can still overdrive and crash if you're not careful.

I personally like the technical stages In WRC3. Makes driving more demanding. Afterall, twisty narrow roads are what rallying Is mostly. But there are some high speed stages too. Germany, Sweeden, Finland are Ideal for flooring the throttle.

Good afternoon.

You are really doing a great job with the skins, but would it be possible for you to give me a direct MIX file ready to use with all your paintings installed ?
I bought the game in your PC suite achievements I've seen here, but I can not work with the tools...

The easiest way would be to give a MIX file with your finest paintings intallées.
also for all menus...

Thank and Good day.

Unlocked the RS200 recently.

Had been impressed with the group b Citroen but the RS is amazing.

Had great fun on the Finland stages, really added the "fear factor" that had been absent previously.

Can't wait for the 205 T16 and Renault 5!

Anyone know why the Audi Quattro is missing? Know its not been in the earlier games also.
