Default HistorX v1.95 impressions

Is it just me or are all the 911s physics quite off even on this latest patch(1.95)? The only Porsche whose physics I like are the ones from the 904 which I use on all the other Porsches.

I also loved the new physics for the Ferrari 330P, they're absolutely amazing, the car is great fun to drive.

As for the american cars some of the few I really like are the Mustang 65 and the Cobras, so business as usual.

The scratch made cars such as the Maseratis are amazing! They're so much fun to drive, also the Ferrari 250 GTO is great! It's a shame the guys didn't concentrate more on it's graphics.

As an ending note, the sounds are as amazing as always!!! Congratulations guys, you have probably the best sounds available for any mod out there for any sim.

Keep up the good work, pleeease!!!

And what's about the AIs ...... IMHO they are really fast, what is your value for the strength of the AI?

When I race against the AI, I don't find them too quick, on the contrary, I have to turn the slide up quite a bit to get the AI up to my speed. But that's me.

What are your entry in your PLR-file of the AI?

QUICK AI Driver Strength="100" // 100 should approximate real life
MULTI AI Driver Strength="110"

This is because I haven`t played with the AI yet.

Ok, after a race at Mid-Ohio with the Porsches 911R 1966 I have to admit/ the AI is very strong, maybe too strong.

That's good, that means you have room to improve

Either that or the AI is actually too fast.

Rtfm

Or more specifically, P.19 of the HGTTC 1.95 manual (included in the dl) suggests a good starting point for ai and you can tweak from there.

As for physics, I've not driven any of the rl cars (except for non race Mini Coopers many years ago) so any opinion is subjective. For me, generally most of the cars have the right vibe and react the way I'd imagine them to. Moreso than their GTL or even PnG2 counterparts......just my opinion

But if a Fiat 500 Abath is on the straight of Halle-Saale-Schleife faster as a Lotus Cortina which I'm driving, it isn't possible, the top speed of the Cortina is higher ..... other Mods as DRM2.0 have not this problem and I don't like to change all the orginal value in my PLR, because only this great Historx-Mod have this bad AIs.

Firstly these are not 500's, but 1000's (or 850's)...

The 850TC is slower, the 1000TC is just slightly so and the 1000TCR is faster, so there you go...

But the AI in this last version of HistorX is really too fast.

Turn them down if your not at 70% already would be the sensible option (Unless I have missed something?)

The thing is that the ideal would be that at 100% the AI would be closer to reality.

Have you set their .PLR values?

Yes, they are fast but they are still good to race with - I need them at about 80%-90% (I am awful though) depending on car type and track and I can have a good race with them.

What does 'set their .PLR values' mean?

I don`t know if you guys have experimented much with the physics but I beg you to try this: put the Ferrari 330P physics on the Porsche 911 R 1966, you won`t regret it I promise, it`s great!!!
