Maybe it has something to do with the transparency settings of the meshes?

PnG v.3.2 installed on separate drive
GeForce GTX 760, driver 359.00

Its not been reported and it is very obvious. The 906 was revamped for 3.2 so I'm sure many have driven it. I can't reproduce it so I don't know what to suggest.

Good catch - thank you!

Also, a change in damper setting is not reflected on the other side even if symetric is set to yes
in the game and the hdc.

This is a strange one. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Will investigate.

The 1st screenie shows also a clipping problem of the side window with the texture of the pit building. So that points to a transparency settings of the meshes.

Root cause and solution found: I used an older version of Syhlif32's gfx.gtr shaders file. Updated to his latest version => problem solved

Not a bug .

Where is the terrain patch hiding now ? I can't seem to find it . The gravel traps are like a glue pot , can't even spin the wheels.

does the terrain patch cause this or no terrain patch installed ?
I've forgotten.

Hi,
I have serious problems with sounds in PnG. In the game menu music is slightly distorted but when in the car teh sound goes off completely and then on and again off. Tried different cars and tracks, same issue. I've installed a new video card today (Nvidia GT 710) and uninstalled all unnecessary sound drivers including my old ASUS Xonar drivers and Nvidia sound drivers aswell. I did even put a fresh install of GTR2 and PnG. GTR2 after fresh install works fine but PnG still has sound issues.
Currently i'm running Intel 3570K@4.4Ghz, 16GB RAM, Nvidia GT 710 and on board sound (popular Realtek) under Windows 7 64bit.

PnG sounds made by DucFreak are top notch and certainly ones of the best I have ever heard in simracing (same level quality as RRE IMHO)... so it is certainly a sound driver issue : are your sound drivers up to date ? go to nvidia/asus website and check updates.

If it's still not working then :
- deinstall all sounds drivers (motherboard+asus xonar)
- clean registry with latest ccleaner v5.35 (and not previous v5.34/5.33 which were infected by malware!!!)
- IMPORTANT : restart pc without installing sound driver.
- after restart, install either motherboard or dedicated asus sound driver (depends on which you wanna use : unmount with screwdriver your asus card, or deactivate it in material settings if you don't want to use it)
- use ccleaner again to clean registry entries
- finally reboot your pc. It should work well now

Seems like soundcard driver settings got messed up, and not really a problem of the mod.

In this situation, for you to better understand what is happening, I should first mention that most of the sounds of P&G (engine and effects) make use of higher quality sampling-rate (48.000Hz) when compared to what is standard in most games, including Simbin sims (44.100Hz).

Now, you mention the issue that "when in the car the sound goes off completely", which is a very strong symptom that your soundcard driver settings are not correctly set.
Meaning, for some reason, your soundcard seems to NOT be capturing what is considered the regular spectrum of sounds, and only capturing up to a certain sampling-rate (I suspect only up to 44.100Hz?), not enough for P&G sounds - hence the missing audio issues you described.

Solution shouldn't be troublesome.
Reinstalling the soundcard drivers usually fixes the situation automatically.
If it doesn't, then I would suggest for you to have a look in the soundcard drivers settings, and make sure that the sampling-rate in the playback is at least at 48.000Hz (it may be pointed as 48 Khz, which is same thing). And that's it.
Some soundcards have that setting under "playback mix", or in the advanced settings.
IIRC, older soundcards, and most onboard ones from Realtek (for example) used to have 48.000Hz labeled as "DVD quality", whereas 44.100Hz was labeled "CD quality". But I digress. That should fix it.

EDIT: oh, you fixed it already! nice (thanks GTR233)
