Default P&G & GTL-GTR2 Mod

Just a little question. I've installed both mods separately and all run fine. However I was wandering, are both mods comparable to run and mix cars with one another in different races? Physics similar? If I am right GTL-GTR2 does not use period tyres (although that can easily be fixed)... I want to add some extra cars to the P&G such as the TVR, will they fit in the categories without issue?

And finally, know of any good resources for skins / new standalone cars for both of these fantastic mods?
