It'll be default grip level rather than the adjusted grip level that was used for the league race. I guess... :uhm:

Or am I getting confused with somewhere else?

You are right, grip level was adjusted last time - I guess this version of the tracks hasn't been updated yet.

It looks better than ever now - only needs a couple of Spitfires swooping over the crowd to complete the effect

Good job you mentioned this Roger, better check I've got the correct version. I think I'm still on Version 1.

I think I learned my lessons in the past - I don't assume the track is the same. Deleted the HAT file and downloaded/installed from the link.

Uh-oh, I hope the updated version doesn't keep crashing on me like V1 does.

Downloading now, wish me luck.

Cool

I'll be there, just downloaded it, and did a few laps, took me right back to the first track day I ever did, a few years back at Goodwood in my old 16v Tipo. Only the E-type is faster!

The track is pretty accurate, should be great fun, looking forward to it. Seemed stable too.

Man, that sucks. The race session started but my 'join race' button was greyed out even while people were still joining the grid. I got a DQ for nothing.

I guess I'll give race 2 a go.

Bad race.

In first lap, Steve Holmes went on the gras and came on track in front of me, while there was enough space on right to stay. maybe I should have braked, but I was in a fight with someone else, and had a lot of people behind me.
Also he had more than enough space to stay on the right side not to jump just in front of my car. I expected him to stay on the right, so I didn't brake because I was in a fight. Maybe it wasn't what he wanted, but my race was gone.

\Car handled not well anymore,. hopefully 2nd race will be better

And madmac, sorry for my confrontation with you again . You braked a little bit more than I did, I tried to brake the car as much as I could but ...

I'm taking another virusscanner. It always updates at 11:30 pm, and I had several problems while racing already. Noe that was also the case. Besides this my car was really oversteered when I tocuhed a very little bit the grass...

Can't adjust it to 6pm or something :'(

Hit from behing and pushed off 4 times in first 5 laps. Then rolled onto my roof later on by S Holmes. And still came sixth!!! Some of you must have been bad.

Got hit from behind again first corner in second race then when I came off at next bend through coughing decided to give up for the night.

I really think so of you Wednesday night guys need to stop concentrating on how fast you can qualify and find a set up that lets you keep the car on the track for more than 1 lap in 3. Maybe then we could all have some good racing.

I must admit I don't know what that's about, I'll have to watch the replay to see what happened. I was hit from behind (just a racing incident) and spun off on lap 1, I can't remember but I thought I rejoined cleanly. Sorry if I didn't. Don't have trackIR or anything so there's a limit to the amount of looking around I can do.

Lap 2 side by side with another car (7th place driver?), clean, then there was a warp and we overlapped and both flew off.

Bad race though, too tired (working too damn hard) to keep concentration up and after another lapse when I managed to run into back of Madmac through staring at the back of his car rather than the track I tried to stay away from other cars.

Shame, it's such a nice track/car combo.

Steve - I'm pretty sure that was me - sorry I had a run on you out of T1 and was half alongside (I doubt you could have seen me - so I should have been more careful). Halfway along the 1st "straight" at the kink you headed to the apex (I wasn't really expecting that.......I was planning what to do if we were side by side at the next proper corner) - I tried to lift but just tagged you 'round - my fault.

A tip for re-joining - I use the "look behind" function - you get a pretty good view of who might be on the way through.

Generally it was a messy race - I saw several incidents. I caused a couple - and also managed to leap off the road a couple of times trying to avoid causing more..........

I wonder if it's the nature of the track - fast and flowing and some people have totally different techniques on corner approach. A couple of times my drift-in approaches nearly put me in the back of the sweeping line style ahead of me. A different entry angle and speed = confusion.

Don't apologise, it was so tight in there and yes, I couldn't see much of you to know how much room to leave, or if I even needed to! Simple racing incident.

Frustrating race, I try to drive as cleanly as possible, and yet I appear to have ruined Gaiajohan's race, I tried to look around (including the look behind!) but rejoining at an acute angle it's so hard to see. Strange thing is I have no memory of any contact when I rejoined. Need replay! And midway through I hit Madmac so hard it was ridiculous (-ly incompetent). Apologies to both.

I have to hold my hand up as another who took Madmac off the track. Race 1 turn1 (Madgwick). I braked slightly too late & just tagged your car, many apologies. I normally wait if I take someone off, but on this occasion I had a pack of cats on my tail, so the safest option was to keep going.

After several others had also gone mowing on lap 1, I had gone from 11th on the grid to 4th behind Watty. He gradually pulled away & I was left in a lonely 4th place for the whole race, even with a couple of spins.

Second race was more entertaining. Went off at St Marys on L1 avoiding Gaiajohan then had some entertaining battles with Kimi & Lade & got up to 3rd when Jammyozzy went off at T1. Just managed to hang on to 3rd at the finish with Jammyozzy less than a sec behind.

Congrats to all the podium finishers & commiserations to all who had a not so enjoyable time.

I will make a replay from behind of my car. I will not place it at youtube, we need to find a way how to share it, okay . Maybe e-mail or something. I'm not angry anymore or something, just at that moment I was a bit pissed off.. But okay...

You've brought your apologies, and I believe you want to race as clean as possible.

I just downloaded the replay, and I hold up my hand and say 'my fault'. I was the car rejoining, should have left more space. Hopefully you can see that it wasn't intentional blocking, I simply don't do that, I was taking a straight trajectory back to the left side to turn into that right hander and the trickiest section of the track.

There was room for cars to pass on the left if they were line abreast but I didn't or couldn't see that you had a slight overlap and were more to the right.

The bump was so small, more like cars side by side rubbing panels that I had no idea anything had happened, and eyes were all ahead for that tricky right-left.

Hopefully better fun for all next time out!
