There is nothing wrong in the .car file.
Whether you have changed the .gmt name and didn't put it in the .cas file correctly. Maybe also something messed up with the instance or these { } things... Or something went wrong with your materials in 3DSimed. For some of those errors the trace doesn't show it. But wait I saw your link and will look into the file.

Finding the cause of a CTD

I'm in the making of Convert A Mod from Rfactor for Privat purposes ONLY, now i have come to a point where i get CTD everytime load a Track, i can see the car perfect in the Car Menu, only i can't see the Wheels in the Showroom. I just tried to race on Monza 2004 with 29 on the grid(the maximum) with the LMS2009 cars(several protos from the Grid Mod)and a few Ferraris from Shift and it ctds yet all the cars appear in the showroom
its confusing O.o and the most annoying part is my GTR wont create a trace file |

Just because a car appears in the spinner/expo doesn't mean it will work on the track. The actual incar cockpit model and its materials are not drawn in either the spinner or the expo. Same is true concerning the lods of certain models. What I find confusing is your statement GTR won't create a trace file, as I've never found this myself, infact gtr2 always generates a trace, problem or not.

I'm using vista and get a trace no problem. It might be in a different place though. Check your "My Documents" area for GTR2 related stuff. It depends on how you installed the game I think.
I've also been trying the 2009 cars but hadn't updated my LMS install properly. Make sure you're not using an older car file with the newest version as some cars genstring have changed. |

I figured out the grid proto problem, I could only race up to 20 cars on track
and now im having a problem where I downloaded a nurburgring from another site and I raced it a few days ago alright but now it CTD's when fully loaded up its crashing when I use the BMW Z4 GT3 I found out it works when theres only about 16 cars but when I put it to about 34 or 35 it crashes Last edited by SEGA2009; 18 July 11 at 18:54. |

Hi I started to play again after a year and i'm running V1.1 and everytime i try to drive a track with a car from the GTL-GTR2 mod i get a CTD, this is with the porsche 911:

I can see the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS in your trace, and this is a GTL mod, I think this mod need some modifications to work in GTR2

You moved the team files to another car, not a good idea
Can you upload the bmw somewhere so I can download a see the files? This will help me determine whats wrong far quicker than me guessing.

Hmmm, not exactly sure. Are there any additional lines at the end? I ask cause it looks like you edited the trace. Please post the last 50 or so lines of your trace file. From what I see here you are missing some cars but I don't think that caused your CTD. Is it doing this everytime now? Or is this only happening occasionally? Could be something other than the game itself if it is only happening occasionally. Post the unedited trace or better yet upload the entire trace so I and others can get an idea of what is going on.

What you refer to as Repeated BS could infact show the cause of your ctd. To be honest what is showing can and probably did cause it. You clearly have several cars that could be to blame, atleast two GT40's and one BMW E90, not to mention others you may have not included in your reduction of the "BS".

Did that crash have anything to do with your trying to get the Prototypes 98-08 mod to work? The trace looks familiar...

I don't have Prototypes 98-08 installed... Only Prototypes SCC Should I just reinstall the whole thing.... ?
