Default [Released] Losail - Qatar.

Tantra just released the track Losail located in Qatar.
Haven't been driving it, but looking to the video on it's page it should be a very competitve track.

Anyone else having a CTD problem loading this track? On my machine it gets about half way loaded then GTR2 just closes.

I just unrared it into a losail folder, copied the folder to GTR2\gamedata\locations and it worked fine first time

I checked my GTR2config.exe and I had it set to DirectX 8. Changed it to DX9 and the track loaded right up and works fine. Problem solved.

My download had no folder just files. Try locations new folder name Losail put files into it mine works.

I had the same CTD problem I solved my ordeal by changing my Direct X settings in GTR2config.exe. It's located in your main GTR2 directory.

If you are just copying the files out of the achive and dumping them into the game folder, then, you are loosing the folder structure that you would normally receive if you "extracted" the archive. This folder structure (path/file names) is contained inside a lot of the GTR2 files. If the track attempts to load and it can't find the file it needs based on the folder structure, then the track will not load - period.

I suggest you use the archive "extract" option and either place the files in the location identified in the enclosed "readme" or, place the files in a temporary location and then copy them (with their folders) to the appropriate locations in your game folder.

I do the latter and it has never failed me (except when the 'creator" messed up). It also allows me to view the file structure in case aI need to make changes for my specific intallation.

One problem with this track: The thirteenth position car literally starts the race in the garage, not out on the grid. Is there a fix for this?
