I don't listen music when I'm racing. I want to hear the tyres, and the engine screaming for help.

At the moment I'm listening Groove coverage btw.

I replaced the menu music with my own tracks, but I couldn't have music playing while I'm racing, I wouldn't be able to concentrate.

In real life I like to have music on while I drive and it doesn't distract me at all. But in the sim world I've got to be able to hear my revs, the road and your tyres on the road. Else it feels like you're floating around in an under-inflated inflatable boat. I delete games and mods that don't offer any audible feedback. It's possible that if I got a FFB wheel I might be able live without sound but I very much doubt it. I have replaced the in game music for the menus with Santana, B Tribe, Deep Forest and INXS.

Snap, i'm exactly the same
Even in TDU, or GTA i usually turn the radio off. In Real Life i'll turn the radio off if i'm going faster than 130, or if i'm on a nice traffic free road and just want to enjoy the drive.

Even with ffb on the G25, I need all the feedback from the game I can get. No music while driving, and crank up the tire and brake noises. (game sounds aren't perfectly coordinated with wheel ffb in all instances so Buttkicker and ffb phones aren't always spot on, but going over the Kurbs the combined effect is awesome- hitting the wall is not).

those guys who can listen to Herman's Hermits while hotlapping are far more coordinated than I.

I added a few random tracks, Black Sabbath, UFO, Led Zep, Beth Orton, Celtic Frost, Built To Spill and a few others.
