I can't connect, crashes each time it loaded Fane, same with a clean install of the game, same with a backup of the cars and track from ages ago.
After fane changed his car and the server was rebooted I got teh same thing with Berger R - 74. Very pissed off at this game now. hope you all have a good race |

Hmm, had a good start, though the Vertigo in front of me went suddenly to the right, so I couldn't pass.. Else I would hit the pitwall..
After that a Nissan touched me that hard that I spun. And after that I had a good race untill the pitstop. Engine wouldn't stop.. I pressed ignition button several times but it didn't work.

I suspect the server or lobby or internet or all 3 is having a bad night tonight.
People getting booted left right and centre, people getting disconnected regularly, people unable to join people reporting high pings & lots of rubber band style movement during the race.... the race? well.... not much to report. Finished higher than expected driving the 2 stopping car, fell asleep 3 times to visit the sand. Got nudged off at one stage, but seeing as I was just having a trundle around then no worries ![]() regards, Sludgey |

first of all sorry to Steve_300ZX for spinning you in the begining, i wasnt going for a pass but i was paying too much attention someone on my inside and braked a litle too late. hope i didnt do much damage.
Otherwise a quite eventless race, exchanged positions with APEXTECHUSA, on worn tyres, several times before his pitstop. almost gave me a stroke when he lagged out leaving a car right in the middle of the track. congratulaitions to the podium guys |

pish poor race for me!
Not one good lap all week, track not my favourite but wanted to race anyway. Slow off the start due to my long first gear (but needed it long for a couple of corners), which was eventually my downfall. Off the track and in the kitty-litter I couldn't get any movement from the car and lost hours!! Nudged a badly lagging Apextech and spun him just after Oppis had done the same. That was a pretty impressive amount of air you got Oppis .Had a good couple of laps fighting with Oppis, then I binned it again! Portugal is a lovely place, but I don't think I'll be going back to Estoril in the near future. |

Took a calculated risk on the Morgan which paid off nicely. Got a good start, was under pressure from Burny who kindly left room on the inside into T2 were he could have easily force me wide, thanks
then sludgey took up chase. I wanted to take care of the tyre more but at the same time didn't want to start scrapping a risking a collision so i pushed and maintained a 2sec gap until sludgey made a mistake and then i had a 6 sec lead on sidewinder. Knew the Moslers were 2 stopping so was not concerned over their pace at this point, just kept a close eye on the gap to fane, which to my suprise grew steadily to 20 secs at the mid way pitstop. The tyres held on better than expected, the pitstop was faultless and i resumed with a slightly bigger lead. Just drove steady from then on, no mistake and looked after engine and tyres till the flag. Congrats to fane and particularly ezza who i saw making a spirited come back on my laptimes board in the first stint  thanks to ALL the backmarker's, who were flawless on the blue flags today too Some of you said all you could see of my car was the headlights hopefully this was related to the other problems we had tonight with connections etc. Or maybe i mapped my cloaking device to the wrong button :p will check on this midweek in practice server as its not good racing invisible cars... Wish Karlos could have joined us, would have loved to see another morgan race today, better luck to all who had trouble here for sepang i hope

Got a good start off the line and managed to pass Berger R -74 well before turn 1. Fane decided to stick it up the inside in turn 3 putting me back to P5, but he didn't stay there long as I got him in Parabolica Interior after he ran wide on the entry, unfortunately I ran wide in the Esses and gave the place back. The extra power came good on the main straight and I had the confidence on the brakes to go under Fane into turn 1. BuRnY then appeared to drop out for an unknown reason giving me P3. From there on the run to the first stop was fairly quiet, except for the two times Sludgey dropped it. First in the Gancho chicane and later in Parabolica Interior. After that I was up to P2.
After my first stop I got a shock when I came around to finish my out lap. I had dropped all the way back to P16. Quite a hefty penalty for running a two stop strategy. If I wanted to place any higher I would have to start passing people quick. Geordie was the first to fall when I took advantage of his defensive line on the exit of the Gancho chicane. Jack Stand III must have noticed me closing in on him at a rate of knots and he kindly pulled over to let me through Upon emerging with fresh fuel and tyres I found myself P6. The only thing I had left going in this race was catching and passing GearChange_Greg for P5. Chasing wasn't hard seeing as I could knock 2 or 3 seconds out of his 20 second advantage every lap. I tried to get him on the inside of turn 4 but we collided and to my surprise he ended up flipping over. All that was left was to bring the car home to P5 which I did. Overall the Mosler was a joy to drive around here, but pity about the need for two stops as it killed any chance of winning. Congrats to Jayblue, Fane and Ezza for their fantastic race result results. |

quali was not good i dont make a good lap. then it was only 4 min. and i try it again and thought dont push so much.....and i managed a good lap and i was 3.
startet the race in 3. and before the first corner lots of people catched(pased) me.(i dont know what i do wrong on the start????) in the 2 lap i brake to late(fight with McDanger) and i go back to 14 position. some laps before the boxstop was i was in a good position behind gearchange and SvtDrivah in 6,7 or 8 place i think but i dont fight against the guys because i know i have 100l fuel and do 19laps so i make a shorter boxstop (load not so much fuel because 100l start) and have very good tyres in the end of the race. pitstoptime: i drive to my boxcrew and i see fane in my box. i was very confused i dont know what to do. after a few second i drive out of box and do one lap more. this costs my ca. 30 seconds. then after the boxstop i win a few places and in the last 7 or 8 minutes i see sege and steve on the horizont. i think push, push, push this 2 guys i will catch because after my long 1 stint i have good tyres and the others not. i catched sege. now it is time for steve....but he fight very good and i cant catch him. we had some good and fair (i hope i was fair) fights and that was my hightlight in this race. congratulation to jayblue (i was sure that he takes the morgan), fane and EZZA. i had some problems in the race. 1. jayblue was a ghostdriver. i dont see his car when he lapped me. only his name and the lights. 2. suddently gupster car stand 2 times on differnt places on the track. 3. any cars jumped forward and backward(zip) think in english you call that bad laggin. so that was it- i cant drive next race because in 5 hour i drive to italy with my 45hp opel corsa and come back on friday night. good night and a good race next saturday |

Shame about the connection problems some were having, spoilt what was a really good event.
Had been struggling all week to get a decent time. Friday evening and today when I usually get stuck in, I was trying to set my headphones up so lost some valuable practise. Got it all sorted this afternoon. To be honest though, even if I had practised all month I would have struggled to get into the 1.42's. Used Ezza's setup (thanks ) for quali which got me 15th on the grid. For the race reverted to my Birmingham setup, adjusted a bit.Got away off the line ok and settled in after first few corners without any problems. After the second lap, I think, Mad Hamish used my rear end to slow himself down into first corner (apology accepted mate, no hard feelings) which spun me and put me down to P17. A few seconds in front of me now were Sege and Jack. I managed to catch them up and pass them when they both rane wide in corners. For the rest of the race it was a battle with Sege. I lost count of the number of laps Sege was within a second of me and was concentrating hard not to mess up. Got a warning about my front tyres on 30 minutes so decided to pit earlier than planned as I could not afford to lose time to Sege and to give myself some breathing space. Not a chance of that though as he followed me into the pits. Stop went well and came out a couple of seconds up. Within a couple of laps he was back close in my mirror. Managed to hold him at bay until I ran wide and he had me down the straight. Stayed with him and saw the only chance I had was in the last corner as he seemed a bit slow through there and managed to pass a couple of laps later and carry enough speed onto the straight to get past. Berger now joined the action and I had a bit of a scrap with him last few laps while we were catching Greg. Managed to hold onto my place and finished P7 which I am well pleased with. Congrats to Jay, Fane and Ezza and thanks again to Karlos also well sorry mate you had problems. I think you were really looking forward to this race in the Morgan. Big |

Well I was freaking out in practise, first off there were some lightening times being laid down, (but i think these were hotlaps not race pace practise) then after lagging and disconnecting at R2P yesterday i noticed that all the times had disappeared and everyone was showing no laps? even though leader board positions were changing. Then I noticed were had gone to quali, and no one seemed to know, loads of cars still in pits etc. A couple of people confirmed that strange things were afoot so at least i knew it wasn't just me!:p
Anyway, qualified third from last, didn't mind only just decided to try and qualify with a few minutes to go anyway, so was quite prepared to start from the back. At the start I couldn't see the lights, so just went when everyone else did! still managed to overtake Geordie (i think?) who got a worse start than me. Second to last into the first corner and was following Jack Stand, we held position for a few laps until some of the faster guys who were recovering from first lap shenanigans started coming past us. I think a damaged Steve came past me, then went past Jack and about a lap later I got past too and tried to keep up with Steve. I figured Steve must have a problem (he did have damage) as I should NOT have been able to catch him! but followed him round until we pitted on the same lap. I had heaps more down the straights but due to my 'safe' set up on the TVR I was understeering in the parabolica Ayrton Senna which meant he always had a decent head start on me down the pit straight!:p Also the smaller Gillet didn't need to take on as much fuel during the pitstop (and I reckon you didn't fix the damage to your car Steve?) as I was disappointed to see him blast out of the pit well before me even though I was right on his bumper when we stopped! Anyway the second stint was much the same I got past at one stage down the straight but a couple laps later Steve used his better corner speed to go past me in the last corner!! great driving mate! Berger caught up with us and was all over me like a rash, pressured me into the odd mistake but was perfectly clean, no contact at all As Berger & Steve then battled away up ahead I could manage to claw them back, but there wasn't enough time to try and pass. They were going for it right up the the last lap though, good to watch from my perspective, but I saw Berger go off at turn 4 on the last lap, not sure what happened, and that was basically that. Congrats to the podiums, and I think plenty of fun was had by most, regardless of the technical problems this race, but hard luck to those who either didn't make it to the grid or lagged out later on. Great racing with you Steve and Berger! great fun guys Last edited by sege; 14 July 07 at 21:52. Reason: Edit is in CAPS! lol |

Sorry to Sludgey, I didn't even realise I hit you until after I watched the server replay, since I wondered why you had spun. On my screen and in my replay it showed/shows a gap between us - but on the server replay it shows me giving you a tap. So sorry about that.

Great race guys while it lasted for me. I had some great battles with apex gearchange and mcdanger. I had a very hard time getting around apex, the only time I had a chance was leading onto the front straight but I did not have the speed to pull him in the gillet, the nissan was quick in a straight line, we'll leave it at that :p . Was looking like gearchange, mcdanger and myself were going to pick up where we left off at the nagp fun race but unfortunately my engine let go a few laps into that battle. Congrats to the podium, well done.

@ Berger: the reason u start really slow is that u must had first gear too long. The same happen to me at Birmingham race when i took ages to start. This car is like that, its diferent
I notice that Ezza´s setup had that 1st gear long so i rather stay with mine but nice setup Ezz |

After a week of enjoying the mosler i went for the vertigo as a very late car choice for the race, mainly due to the fact i suffered badly with tyre drop off in the mosler, and ofcourse the 2 stops it would need, qual 6th in the verty using the ezza setup,as the start went i suddenly discovered how bad this long 1st gear was,it felt like a real crawl away with a TVR nipping at my heels to get past,i made it to the first turn and was still jangled and flapping about the tvr behind and gave a small tap to a red vertigo going into turn one, sorry to whoever that was,it caused you to go hop left a bit and upset kristof neilssons exit, but all on our way safely,i then i had to give best to the tvr and kris in the mosler as the screamed past me on the outside at the next turn,a few laps later after good closing in and chasing down kristof,he locks a bit and goes in a turn very wide,i believe im close enough to put my nose in for a look at a pass but kris's mistake on the way in isnt as bad as it first looks,so he suddenly appears on my right, from my screen i see some daylight between the back of his car and me,but then his car goes into a spin,it looked exactly like he has just been tapped, the replay shows i tap his back end spinning him,and to add to the horror, the closely following oppis simply has nowhere to go and he suffers too
.I continued on after checking my rear view and seeing letting kris back through wasnt really a good option,i could keep with fane, and close the gap down a bit, then i went off for no real good reason, and made a real mess of getting going again, beached on kerbs, stalling due to that ridiculous 1st gear, when i did get going again i ended up in a major battle with gearchange and svtdrivah, great close stuff, and some monumental defence stuff from gearchange, his resolve to not let me pass is very strong, sometimes to his own detrement i must say,how svt managed to miss us both almost at a standstill at some of the turns is remarkable,i eventually did get past and done my one and only stop,i was always amazed at how good the tyres stayed all through the race, and how good that ezza setup was, despite the moody 1st gear :p,a finish of 4th,but it feels a bit tainted to me,i would have prefered a clean pass on kristof nielsson! ,sorry again to you m8.Congrats to the lad Jay for a romp away victory, and to Fane for 2nd,no shame in it when Jay is on that kind of form m8,and to our other habitual podium monkey The Ezz rounding out the sun soaked podium of Portugal. And what can we say Mr. K ? ,you didnt even get to have a run round this time after all your efforts ,for what its worth, you set up yet another cracker for us all, many thanks.

I hope I get my DSL internet connection this week. I might then be able to race if nogrip lets me. Not to sure if it will be fast enough, let alone me. Hey what happened to Lowndes. I dont think he raced.
My school starts again tommorrow, that's a bad thing for me, I hate school. Maybe I can join the practice server during the week. Maybe. Chances are not because of the internet. |

Pre-race: I had put down a good time in Qualifying but suffered a crash to desktop at exactly the same time as Fane did.
When I came back in I had a hard time concentrating and my time was about .6 slower than it should have been so I started from 11th instead of 8th. Lap 1 Got an OK launch despite my tall first gear (my setup isn't made for going through sand-traps :p) though oppis got a rocket launch and immediately put me down to 12th Coming into the first corner it looked like SVTDrivah had left lots of room on the inside which I decided to use but then his car suddenly hit me in the side putting me in the grass (it looks like lag on the replay) As I tried to squeeze back on the track Apextechusa hit me in the rear which dropped me back to 18th. Jack stand III then ran wide on T2 giving me back 17th. Lap 2 I pulled to the inside of Mad Hamish down the straight but he braked too late and hit Steve_300ZX, which let me slip through into 15th. Passed by Berger who was having an off-road excursion after T1 then Gaiajohan who had been spun at T3 and also a lagged out Burny, I'm now 12th. Lap 3 I drive by Digital and Gearchange when Digital gives Gearchange a bump, now 10th. Lap 4 I pass SVTDrivah on the Parabolica Ayrton Senna and get in Apextechusa's slipstream, despite this he still pulls away from me down the straight. Lap 5 I get a better exit out of T1 and pass him on T2 but he retakes it T3! I then run wide at the start of the Parabolica and SVTDrivah goes past again. Then Gaiajohan takes me down the straight. Lap 6 Apextechusa and SVTDrivah both out-brake themselves going into the Parabolica Interior allowing Gaiajohan and myself through - into 9th. Lap 7 Gaiajohan brakes too late for Orelha I’m now 8th. Lap 8 Oppis spins on the Parabolica Interior and then Kristofer Nilsson slides it exiting the Esses into the Parabolica now up to 6th. Lap 10 I catch Sludgey - who I thought spun himself (but later turns out I spun him ![]() )- now 5th.Lap 13 Pass a pitting Sidewinder for 4th. Lap 14 pass a spun McDanger for 3rd. Lap 17 I run wide and spin on the exit of the Parabolica losing at least 10s. Lap 18 exit the pits in 13th not far behind Oppis Lap 20 I get a great draft on oppis... Lap 21 ... and pass going into T1 Lap 23 pass Sidewinder in the pits again I'm now back up to 3rd after everyone has pitted Lap 30 Catch up to lap Apextechusa who is lagging very badly (he was fine earlier in the race) I run into his frozen car on the Parabolica Interior and go into the sand-trap losing 10s or so. Lap 33 Catch up to Apextechusa again but back right off so I don't have to lap him - I have no chance of catching Fane ahead of me so it doesn't matter. Lap 34 THE END…

Just like to apologise to Karlos and all for not turning up for the race...reason is i blew up my motherboard...errrrr by getting the wrong gig memory...he hem:slap:. I was trying to upgared to 2 gig but got DDR2 and should of been DDR this blew it but luckily everything else is ok
. So be ready for next race. What can i say i did have a great setup for the Nissan 350z and probably be in mid pack qualifying. Race i knew my setup the car had great grip and pretty good straightline speed and could of been in top 10 will never know. Oh well roll on Sepang |
