Alpine 1300s by Roger

The 1300S was used by the works team until 1970, approx. 969 were built.

The car differs from the 1600S in it's lower weight, carrying less over the rear. The base engine is R8 Gordini with a little extra capacity (1255cc-1296cc).

Arguably these cars handled slightly better than the later versions, but were down on power. Overall performance was not much less than the 1600S, but the engine needs working very hard to extract it, change gear at approx. 7300rpm.
