Education for newbies on how to install in GTR Evo

Been all enthused about adding tracks to GTR Evo but find the whole install structure with Steam involved is bizzare afer GTR2 where you just added the track. Be good to have "How to install" as a top menu bar item . Barring that can anyone point me to the article on how to add a track like Bathurst in EVo.

Here is a thread about how to install things in Race 07.
GTR Evolution works in the same way since Evo is only an expansion pack for Race 07.
