Default I just got it! (iRacing)

My dad said yes to a 3 month subscription, for $25. It was a steal and I got Daytona IR for free. Here comes a month of spinning off the track...

I signed up a few days ago for this promo as well. I need to figure out how to be fast in the Rookie Solstice w/o going off track...

When you are a rookie, you don't need to be fast. Concentrate on getting the car round the circuit and getting to your D License before you think about speed.

If you are struggling with the Solstice at Lime Rock then don't worry - you aren't the only one. Wait till Laguna Seca and it'll be much easier.

I don't struggle too badly keeping the Solstice on the track at Lime Rock or Laguna, but I am about 6-7 seconds slow at Laguna (1:53-1:55) and maybe a little less at Lime Rock. At Lanier in the Legends my best is about 0.25 seconds slower than the best Ive seen thus far, while keeping it clean.

Funny, it's the exact opposite for me. I'm fairly quick at Lime Rock in the Rookie Solstice -- 1:05.1 -- but I can't find my hand from my azz at Laguna!

Great sim.

Take care,
PK

I can only manage a 1:51 at Laguna in Rookie Solstice, have only tried the Spec Racer @ Limerock, a ton of fun.

But I'm an oval guy, and run in the Advanced and/or Rookie Legends Cup most of the time. I just can't stand Lanier though, there is no 2nd race groove like at South Boston.

After watching some racing this past weekend at Mosport I am a little more Inclined to try Iracing out!! A lot of the SCCA t-1, t-2, FV, F500, SSB, and other club cars had Iracing stickers on them!
So it must be a pretty good training tool.
