Default I want more responsiveness out of my G25 for F1 mods

Hello,

I have been out of the whole SIM racing thing for about 6 months now, give or take. So I have forgot a whole lot since then. Well last night I saw some screenshots and it really got me into all this again. I fired up rF and did some laps in one of my F1 mods. Well I noticed there was some play in the wheel. How can I fix this? I want much more response from the wheel with just slight movements when I am in a open wheel car.

Thanks

Go to rFactor\UserData\your name open controller.ini edit line

FFB steer force exponent="0.95000" // Steering force output "sensitivity". Range 0.0 to infinity. 0.0 to 1.0 = higher sensitivity, greater than 1.0 = lower sensitivity

I think its about 0.80000 normally hope this helps

I find a mixture of Realfeel and Leo's FFB is the best solution for tightening up the movement and sensitivity in the centre of the wheel. Though a number of the newer mods with proper Realfeel support like CTDP's F1 2006 seem to have taken all the play out of the wheel just using Realfeel. Perhaps it is just a question of analysing those settings and transfering them to other mods or maybe getting those edits into your controller.ini

Thanks guys I will give the first option a shot. Don't have that CTDP 06 mod yet

edit: I need a refresher on realfeel please! I have it installed but forget how to use it and such. Can't find a readme on it

How many degrees of rotation do you have your G25 set to, Chad? You'll find that particular setting in the Control Panel under Game Controllers. 900 degrees is the max (and the default setting, I believe), and open wheelers usually run around the 240-320 range or so.

Happy racing!
