Hi all, first off i have been running an 09 championship with the DTM07/08 mod, and it's dam good. I have had some great races with the ai cars, they are aggressive & attacking.. they also make mistakes and spin out with each other.. my only gripe is that their performance from race to race isn't as consistent as i would like it. in qualy they can be up to 3 seconds quicker, then the next track im right there in the top 5. Is there a way i can adjust the rounds better for a tighter championship both in the race & qual sessions?
Also my pit stops take like 20s compared to ai cars 15 or so, why is that? |

Read this thread on modifying the AI. The thread is from GTR2 (a predecessor to GTR Evolution) but pretty much all of the items in this AI tutorial carry over to GTR Evolution including your desire to modify AI qualifying and racing lap times and personally I believe one of the more important mods to make is to modify the various car DMG files in your race increasing the "AeroMin" value if you run races that take more than 30 minutes to complete. Anyway read the AI tutorial and apply most if not all of the recommendations and your AI will be better racers.
http://www.nogripracing.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=39455 As far as pit stops, I have seen mixed results. In some of my longer races I have had great tire/fuel pits stops where there is not much difference between myself and the AI (I did a 42 lap race at the Lemans 77 track and every car made 3 tire/fuel pit stops). But I have also had less than desirable results with shorter races and yes it pit crews appear to be slower. But turning off their ability to fix damage to your car will speed them up. That is assuming you make it to the pit stop with an undamaged car.

can you list the tracks that the AI needs adjustment, i.e. Curitiba 2007, AI is 3 seconds too slow etc
I'll update the HDC files to bring the tracks inline.... feel free to list add-on tracks also.... Also, what Champ settings are you using? 100% no aids? (excluding auto-clutch) as this is how I wrote the mod to work.... |

The inconsistency may also be caused by bad AIW files of addon tracks.

I mostly race offline and add only one track at a time, run a test race with full field of AI, and if the AI doesn't impress me, such as making lots of mistakes or being too slow, I rarely keep the track for no other reasons than the occasional multiplayer race.
