Dont you think 320 HP is enough in this Car ? Okay i dont have to download is but even 260 HP is much to fast on an few circuits.

I d/led this mod just like it said to but when I load the game and select cat 440 it lists the car but shows no pic, the when I select the car it ctd any thoughts on why.

I am Italian... and I send a message to my co-nationals: please, don't use swearing. My brother uploaded a track once and it was removed because they said "no recovering possibility after collision"... He said it was not true, but his account was deleted for swearing... (so I had to register, but I confess, it's only a formality: more than sometimes my brother uses my account

Im looking into the problem... in the meantime, Im going to give you guys a way to find the source of crashes in GTL, GTR, and GTR2
attn: rookie modders.... dont feel bad we all started right where you are, theres no shame in getting help... its how you get better at thios stuff and learn little techniques to troubleshoot. all I ask of you in return for the help I give is that you would help out other people with what you learn.

go to your desktop shortcut for the game, then right click on the icon and click properties, then in the target field you will want to add the following line to the address (after the quotes, that part is very very important!)

(add a space, use the spacebar and add one space after the end quote)

<space> trace=1000

Run the game try to load the car on the same track you get the CTD with (crash to desktop), this step is important as well, it may simply be a conflict with a particular track.

when the game crashes then go to the "GTR2" directory on your hard drive and go the the "userdata" directory, then open up the folder called "Logs". in the logs folder there should now be a file called "trace.txt". the last lines are what youre interested in, thats where most errors show up because thats the last thing the game did before it crashed.

If you post those traced errors, I can most likely help you with the issue. even though I'm not the publisher, this stuff is very generic except for a couple personal things that different modders use to make their mods, and even those arent enough to hide an error.

(has anybody PM'd the publisher of the mod yet to let him know there is a problem??? he may not know that there is even a problem)

I do mostly GTL but I do own GTR2 (and have written mods for it) and the structure is nearly identical save for a couple of filename discrepencies.

I looked at some of the .gmt files in 3dSimEd and found there was a cube map missing that the game is looking for in order to work.

You can do a thorough trace search until the cows come home and you'll never find it.

If you re-name an emap_paint.dds file to ATL2006_CUBE_DX9, the mod should work for you. (no guarantees) Worked for me.

I am having the same trouble game crashes when loading. also the car does not show up in game. I know this sounds stupid but can someone tell me where exactly to copy the files to.
i put them in GTR2/gamedata/teams/caterham.. thanks

Hey guys,if anyone has problems installing this CSR 440 version,all i did was click & drag the whole CSR440 File over/into my GTR2 Thumbnail Icon. Fired up my GTR2 game,and the CSR440 version is there with the rest of the Caterhams. Plays great, Sounds great, everything!
