Donington 2004 from GTR2 for Race 07 - 08-06-2008 v. 1.3 - by meck2 -

Track runs/load without problems.
Thx to Franky_BB for his Loadingscreen.
Fixed fuel consumption.
Tweaked *.*gdb by Greg Kuric\-Race length and A.I grip-
Dedicated problem fixed. kicking from server.

Very heavy question:

Is a nordschleife from gtr2 on its way to race07? Or can only simbin tracks be converted?

One thing : the replay camera locations seem totally wrong. Is that set somewhere in a file which wasn't included in the addon?

This track crashed the game soon as I tried to load the track. I got a a prompt to a mini dump. I aslo got the same crash/prompt for dump with the Nuerburgring 2007 track. Am I maybe doing somthing wrong? I dropped the folders in the gamedata\locations folder, just like I would do with a GTR2 track. Any thoughts with whats happening

No I haven't been able to find out why I can't get the tracks to load yet. Haven't been able to spend any time with the issue yet. I've been real busy, I will try to figure it out somtime this week. I'm almost sure its somthing that I'm missing here, it's probably right in front of my face.

excellent conversion, the height differances are fantastic.. can you do the same with Laguna, Phillip Island and maybe Cadwell park.

at motorfx works fine, on my race07 league works fine.
on some other machines dont work, i dont understand why not.
some other tracks have the same effect. on the serverlobby i see that some people have fun on this simbintrack. i reworked the last version and i do it again. be patience...

I think i found a clue for you, Meck !

It highly depends on the user's ingame graphical settings.

So, guys, please try to join a lobby game with details set to the minimum, just to check this idea.

I've just tried to join with details at max, booted as possible cheat.
Then tried to join with details at min, and no problemo !

I have tried everything to get this track to install and nothing seems to work. The files seem to install, but they don't transfer completely, of all the tracks I've installed this is the only one that won't work.

Just a thought on the recent .trk fixes: I don't think it's a good idea to remove a line like Visgroups=(39) completely, it should be replaced by Visgroups=(32), otherwise the track won't be playable on a smaller PC with mirrors turned on. Those lines do serve a purpose....

slorocks Join Date: Aug 2007	App crash when trying to load track This track crashed the game soon as I tried to load the track. I got a a prompt to a mini dump.
