How is this for playing GTR2 and is there anything i can adjust to improve the performance, bearing in mind im playing on a laptop so cant change my video card?

The proccesor seems a bit slow, can you upgrade that?
you could try overclocking but i wouldnt reccomend it :S (from personal expeirience of paying 40 quid to a friend to get his fixed after "secretly" oc`ing his because he didnt want to )

Both nonsense above.
The cpu is okay for playing GTR2.
Problems is the graphics card.
Get yourself a real graphics card, and no onboard thing.
Buy an 8600GT or so .

//edit:
Sorry now read it was a laptop.

Well a laptop cpu most times isn't overclockable, because of heat and a locked BIOS. And further you can't improve it much unfortunately...

I am in the middle of having a tower put together, my folks are in the computer business, but more office related than gaming. Iv asked them for a decent graphics card(hoping they will know of one!) and it has to be quick, but other than that its not too important, ie sound, mouse ect.

My dream is to complete just one race with a full grid with no lagging!

Thanks for your help guys.

Hi Nuts... if you can get an Nvidia 7600GT or an ATi X1650Pro (not new but very cheap) for your
tower you can run GTR2 smoothly. Just ensure you've got 1 or 2 GB of RAM and that your CPU is
around 3 Ghz. The laptop is not really gonna cut it mate... sorry. gLuck with the new PC!

Oh i know the laptop's not up to it, i never even knew GTR2 existed when i bought it, but it has done me well so far, after a 1gb up-grade!!

Iv just had a look at the ATi X1650 Pro and it sounds like the perfect bit of kit, and the rest of it im sure my folks can sort out if i give them GTR2 to try on it. I'll just tell them to max the settings and work from there! lol

Thanks for the info people, it helps alot.
