Default GTL- Mexico 67 - Cut tracks still too severe?

I really don't know what to do about this track.

The problem only exists in GTL.

If you get 4 wheels over the white lines, you get a cut track.

This means if you come out of a corner hot and slide over the lines your done.

It also means if you pass a car on the inside or outside on a straight, putting all four wheels over the line, then that's a cut too.

I just feel if the cut track parameters are shifted so this doesn't happen, then there is basically no cut track policing at all, and you may as well have the flag rules turned off.

But in the end, it's a great track and I want people to use it.

EDIT: I usually don't vote in my own polls but I will make an exception in this case.

When you're aware that the stewards are going to be policing overtaking maneuvers
that involve 'leaving the track' you make allowances.
At Monza this week in F1 stewards have said that jumping the curbs three times will
incur a drive through.
Sometimes there's a crack down on certain aspects of racing, and the competitors
live with it.
I think Mexico is fantastic the way it is. When you nail turn one and get the esses
just right it's very rewarding.
It's always a 'go to' track for me, just as it is.

Just my two cents worth, other opinions may differ.

Cam.

LOL, I'd leave it as is. we were racing it on teh add-on server, and some guys got stop/go.
Very satisfying... because they WERE cutting track, and they knew it

I was driving a Z28 camaro, sliding all over the place, and got podium.
Without a single C/T warning even.

BTW if you are sliding off the track (and not purposely sliding through the indside),
it does not give you a C/T.
Like if you do it in a righthander, and you have to turn LEFT to get back on track, no cut.
But if you do it in a righthander, and then you think ' hey this is faster' and keep turning left... you're in for one!

Hahaha! If I can get podium in a Z28, then it's fine!

I'm pretty sure with any track, if you get off the throttle, you don't get a CT.

I agree. The difference is at any other track you'd be on the grass so you'd be forced to ease off. Just because there happens to be tarmac on the other side of the line, doesn't mean you have to keep the power down

Ah well, then they'd just need a flat square of tarmac with some lines on it...
and no CT warnings so they can keep the power down...

Probably the same people that complain about non-drive-through guardrails, eh?
