Default Some 3d models...

Hi all, i have got some 3d models from some of the need for speed games, and im wondering if anyone here could get them into gtr2???

Ive got:

NFS Carbons JAGUAR XK
NFS ProStreets FORD RS COSWORTH
NFS Shifts Lamborghini Reventon
NFS Carbons Mercedes SLR
NFS MostWanted Toyota Supra
NFS Prostreets Bugatti Veyron

(ive got the games, so can get more!<< well all the cars even tho these are from AirOne Racing who converted them to .3ds/.max/.z3d)

Would it be posible to convert these cars to GTR2, GTL... with ease as they are in .3ds??
and would you need all the permission and stuff to convert?

***Attatched, is the Jag so you can hava look (i deleted the .max and .z3d as the file was too big)!

What you'd need is a CD check fior the car, else it's not allowed to upload them at NoGrip.

But it's certainly possible, because several of them are already available for GTLegends.
They are nice models, but you'll need to map them again to get a good paintable car.
Plus you'll need to make the LODs.

I have understood that you are 'having issues' with those, so I'm trying to get up to speed so I can help out. I know what to do. It is a combination of first deleting some stuff, then adapting the mapping and after that killing some materials. No problem, I can tell what needs to go, was taught by THA MASTER... In the NFS and TDU games there's not 30+ cars possible on a grid, so your PC will do OK. However... if you take GTLegends and pick 30 Camaro Z28, then you might have a problem... Slideshow!!

Yup, all converted content from other games that is uploaded here will now require a check for the CD when it gets installed. Means that any car from EA will need a file that checks if the downloader owns the CD.

Let me NOT rephrase that...

It doesn't mean YOU need to make a CD check. I suppose some CD check will pop up and then you could just add it and upload.

But hell it wouldn't surprise me if it gets cracked in 5 secs but at least then YOU did right.

yup, good point, so you mean, if you download a new mod for e.g gtl, then it will check the game is installed?

Yes, so if you rip one from (say) eehhh... Grid, then it should check that you have the Grid CD before installing the mod is enabled.

After the Chevelle, probably no more conversions for me.
By then I'll be able to make some myself too, I hope.
