unfortunitly there is no real fix and the more your game is modified the more the chances are of this occurring. My suggestion would be have a separate GTR2 install for online racing that just contains the base game and no add-ons.

Hmm well fact is there must be somtheing within the programme which triggers this it cant just be random and some people must know my feeling is its either same cars in different mods or different versions of same tracks I know from watching the messages when online that this is a BIG problem and we really need a viable solution as the thread starter rightly says: time flies.....) Peace out |

I've been using GTR2 a few months now and I haven't been able to get online once. If I want to race in some of these leagues I have to d/l 180+ MBs of crap and hope that it works. But I think the problem is the poorly designed software that allows anyone to hack it. So, the only protection that leagues have is to make us d/l everything for each race. Really stupid in my opinion. Just my 2 cents. |

I know how to fix it but it has to be on the servers side.
The server must go into GTR2\user data\"user name"\"user name".PLR open the PLR file with notepad and go down to the Multiplayer options part and find "report Mismatches" it should be set on 2 which is auto kick. change the value to 0 for No checking, and voila. It works. dunno how i found this I just did and it works every time for us. We play on LAN with tons of mods. F3000 works addon tracks work ....good luck |

my computer right click on the GTR2 LOGO which ever drive it is in an click explore . click on GTR2 setup and tell it where the new folder is you want to install to. installs to C/gtr2 as standard. just rename that part to where you want it to go. (e.g. C/gtr2 online ) or something like that .when finished update to 1.1 and just add tracks no extra cars. Even my pilsbeer install is giving me booted as possible cheat when it has only got stuff from there server on it.Try joining a Mustang server near impossible. I think the net code is crap, a mate from Sydney joins the GTR2 server and I can't see him from canberra 300 klm's away yet I see people from overseas. it's very retarded. More army gamers should convert to racing sims to sort this crap out once and for all. Racing games have been out for 30 years and we still get pushed to the bottom of the cue for net code and decent AI .

Scroll down to "MULTIPLAYER". Near the bottom of that section look for this line: Report Mismatches="2" // server to act on mismatches by: 0=No checking, 1=Warning messages, 2=Auto-Boot mismatches Change the "2" to "0" I've read that this will fix the problem. |

I'm having the same issue as of today, and the great thing is, it worked before, and I didn't make any additions to the game.

Getting same message here as well. Also get the message car not appearing on track when trying to join a race. I also tried the fix in the plr file but did nothing for me. A bit frustrating but did manage to get a couple of races in with bmw m3 challenge though. Might try the second install and see if that helps. Cheers 50Plus.

Pilsbierbude has add-on cars, but you need them all. I had the booted as possible cheat until I removed all my add-on tracks then had no problem. Try that. Just make up a second Locations folder with only the standard tracks and then go online with that. Just rename the other one and keep it aside. |

Did a second install patched to 1.1 with the open all tracks file, and all worked fine with no addon tracks or cars. Thanks for the helpful info. Did a 10 lapper and was about 19 seconds behind at finish, but was a good learning curve. Cheers 50Plus.

My GF and I play on our LAN and we will get this from time to time. The bugger is that I have a script that syncs her gamedata folder with mine before we start a session, cuz I'm the one that finds all the mods
![]() Anyways, This is annoying and I sure would like to find a viable solution... |

I have more tracks than a blu-ray disc, more cars than Jay Kay and only very rarely get mismatches. I have found as long as you do not mess with 'specialfx.tec' and stay away from frivalous addons it is quite rare to get kicked.
If you like certain tracks and cars find a league that supports your needs and join. This gives you several advantages, 1) you get used to the way your new buddies drive, 2) you will get all the support you need when it comes to problems with said tracks and cars, 3) you get a cleaner race and gain friends from all over the world. I would always advise having a backup of all the tracks and cars you mess with AND SAVE YOUR 'USER FOLDER' just incase. Most of all have fun, also it is good to see someone mature playing games, keep it up and hopefully will see you online someday. Take care all and have a great New Year. |

Check the GBD files (as in the "singlemakes", "24h_20..", etc.). I added extra cars to the file so kept getting booted. As it has been said before "Have seperate files for online play and single play!":p
