Default November 25 - Corollas at LimeRock 12pm EST

I've set up a server running the Toyota Corolla at Lime Rock. Was thinking of a quick 10 lap race at 12 noon EST (believe that's 5pm GMT at the moment) if anyone is interested. I've just left it running 10 minute qualy followed by 10 lap race.

Server is "CHS GTL", password is "corolla".

It's set for 14 drivers, but I've never run more than 5. Connection should be good for around 20.

Suppose I should mention that it's the 1.2 version of the Corolla hosted here at NG.

I'll give that a spin!

I've just downloaded the Toyotas and am midway through the Gordinis. So some Toyota action later on would be swell.

Hmm, didn't think about the fact that people would have problems if someone chose the Gordinis... they just happened to be already installed and I can't de-select them. Think I should pull them from the server or just tell everyone not to run them?

If you can remove the Renaults that would save problems I guess. There seems to be a bit more to installing the Gordinis, there are several installation files to run in the distribution pack. I'm concerned in case the order I run them may cause server mismatches...

Here's my setting for the Corolla for anyone who wants to try it out. Good base for tweakage.

Any opinions on how many laps we should run? I'm about a second slower in the Corolla than I am in the Mini... so roughly 1 minute per lap.

Hi,

great race - great fun and no probs here, except my "usual" CTD after the "next session". This is not a Corolla prob, I have this after every first race. After a system restart it works again, even I have a 2nd race then.

...and thanks for the server Bill

That was fun. I seem to be the only one that had display rate problems... That may be be to my connecting to the server through the lobby instead of locally on the LAN. Going out and then back into my network may have messed things up a bit.

Had no display problems later with Lime Rock on the NG server.

Everything go smoothly for everyone else?

I got the 'elastic band' effect, same as in the Mini race later, but I think that was an issue with the track rather than your server.

I only had it with my server - the NG server was fine. I'd love to know what that is.

I had a horrendous graphics "bzzt" and PC freeze on my opening practice lap, but after a reboot was fine.

But then I had some stuttering problems during the race, but that was just me running the graphics settings too high for 60FPS/vsync.

Overall, I'd call the test run a success
