Default Aussie 65 mod call out.

I was wondering if there are any Aussies (purely a time-zone thing) out there that may want a bit of casual racing with the 65 mod.

The thing I like about the 65's is that I find they are more chuck-able, and a lot more forgiving for close, wheel to wheel, racing

I was thinking a Friday night, nothing too organised, just show up and race.

Stick with the same car.

Each week we could take turns choosing a track (preferably not a long one).

I was doing this with GTL, and it was fun for a while, but my preference has always been to race GPL online.

I have access to a teamspeak server (which adds a whole new dimension of fun), and could set up a sub forum to handle communications, although emails were proving sufficient for my GTL fun run.

Thank you.

Default GPL 65s

Here is the free 2004 dload for 1967s amonst many other useful links. Get Vroc and iGOR there for online and GEM2 will give you the 1965 and 1969 and any day now, 1966es. The TrackDatabase link for 500 tracks! All free but my guess is you'll want to donate eventually

Then enjoy.

My CD of GPL is gone now and I haven't replaced it yet, good thing the GPL2004-Demo seems to allow most of it.

I'll have to get GPL up again sometime soon (format -again!- some weeks ago ), even if I was around it well over 3 years, I barely raced it online (always with 65s though), IGOR seemed a great program at that time (early 2004 if memory doesn't fail me).

Not an aussie or in that time-zone but probably would manage racing in such hours these days (with f***ked schedules that I have!)

SoundsRyou ( ) Yes, '04 Demo has all but original tracks which you need for GPL Rank; no prob thou as disc is ~7 euro, $12 US and easily installed via GPLPS Installer (at GPLLinks). All other tracks at GPLTrackDatabase, GPL++, and from assorted other update links can be added to the Demo..

VROC, http://www.vroc.net/ , has more races and is mostly 1967s, iGOR has mostly the Mods of which 1969 has soft-tire and wings/drafting physics as will the any-day-now released 1966s
