Default New Sim Rig!

Well i got really bored over the Easter weekend as i can't race until my new Graphics card turns up, so the missus and I took a trip to bunnings, and came home with some material to get busy!
We broke out the welder, drill and dremel and used a few other things laying around the shed, and here's what we came up with, made it so it's all fully adjustable to suit any of my mates that want a go while here.
Also taught the missus how to use the drill, dremel and angle grinder. as i can't fully use my right hand until i have nerve damage repaired on 19th

here's the pics:

Did it cost much getting the missus to do all that?? Mine would be like "get stuffed, do it yourself"

Must say - what a good looking setup, light weight and portable - the complete opposite of my cockpit.

Haha, not at all all the better for her too, as now it can be packed up out of the way
I did all the welding and painting and she assisted with cutting and drilling, altogether worked out to be a good little team. All up only cost $147.60au for the materials from the hardware store, old go-kart seat for the seat, spare MTB Bike handlebar stem for gearstick mount, and old VL commodore seat base for the adjustable height seat base. LOL fwaallaa!!

Very nice.

The only way I can repair any nerve damage is to get rid of the Wife.

yeah, Stu's rig turned out great, and is a lot more solid than mine, as i designed mine to be adjustable and the ability to fold away, both are great to use

we have to modify the shifter mount VL!. I need it closer, too far to reach it..
but it is very sturdy, I've changed the castors to larger rubber wheels, easier to move around.
