Default Gigabyte brand card with NVIDIA gpu, OK?

There is a card I have found but it is not NVIDIA brand. It says it has a Geforce 7600gt gpu. Is it a bad idea to buy another brand(not NVIDIA) or would this card be as good as a genuine NVIDIA 7600gt? I notice there are lots of brands that use NVIDIA gpu. Are they OK?.

Gigabyte are a well known brand that has been around for years most notably making motherboards, so I should imagine they make good graphics cards too. It will still use the Nvidia technology and the same Nvidia drivers so yes I would say it's ok.

The best thing to do is do a search on the card and try and find some buyers reviews to see if there have been any problems with this card. As it's been out for awhile this should not be too hard.

Good luck

As far as I know nVidia does not produce graphic cards... they supply the GPU to other brands. So all of them are Nvidia genuine products... and Gigabyte is generally a good brand... so go for it.
By the way last year I upgraded from a 7600GT to a 7900 GTX 512 mb and the difference is huge... not sure for the price though.

If you're getting it for you, don't! Cos it's crap. Get a minimum 8600GT, or even better an ATI HD3850! But, if you're limited with budged, look at a 7600GT too.
