Default 2004 Demo display problem

I've installed the GPL 2004 Demo and managed to get most things running smoothly. The only problem is, when I actually jump in the car to drive, the display is normal but only a fraction of it (something like a quarter) is shown on the screen, and the rest is black.

My OS is Windows XP home, my graphics card is an Nvidia 9800GT and my motherboard is an Asus P5Q Turbo. I have set the ingame resolution to the highest possible setting, and my monitor resolution is 1920x1080. Anti-Aliasing is off.

Has anyone else experienced this problem, and is there a way to fix it?
