Seeing as Relay is used by a lot of RT players, and due to the fact Cash says they may go offline for a little while, I thought I'd post this latest announcement from them so people know whats going on
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As promised we keep you up to date about (future) developments regarding Relay. I bet all, like myself, got a bit scared some days ago when Relay was off-line for two days! By now all know the reason I assume, if not: the ISP was down so nothing we could do about that. Sorry! Now the major news for now: since two days Jason (Schumi) and Craig (Pedantic) handed over Relay to Rob (RC) and me. We are now in the process of building a server here in Holland and getting all software here as well. As you will understand, this WILL take some time to have it all in place as it should. The good news is, however the majority seemed willing to even pay, that Relay will continue..... FREE of charge! As we are transferring everything, and Jason did have problems to keep Relay running, it COULD be Relay once again will be down. IF that happens (we can?t control from here) you guys already know that it will NOT be closed!!! We of course hope that we can keep running until all is transferred and you guys won?t even notice ![]() However, please be patient with us, as we are pretty much newbies to run it all ourselves. We?ll do our utmost best of course, but hé, you never know what happens ![]() I?m VERY glad to say that we still can count on the GREAT skills and help of Jason and Craig in the background, so we are very confident about the future! We also found a programmer which we start working with once all is transferred. This means we TRY not only to keep Relay as it is right now, but our plans for the future are to (slowly) expand with also other games. We?ll keep you updated about further developments as soon as we have them! I?d like to close this one with some VERY MEANT THANKS to Jason, Craig and all the rest developing Relay up to the point where it is right now!!! I just have a small idea of how much work, efforts, money and time they put in Relay over the years to give us users one of the best (if not THE best) and sophisticated Online-racing-systems! GUYS, I would almost burst into tears now, if I didn?t know you will still take care for your baby! We also will treat is as our own, so don?t worry ![]() CasH |

A sad day in the history of Rally Trophy. I feel the best rally simulation on the market deserves something better than to have this happen. Thank you Kenkunen for all the amazing things you, Fredissimo and Relaygames achieved together. |
